Piper Alpha Disaster Survivors Novels & Stories

I imagine the numbness that's enveloping me, and the searing pain roaring through my heart coupled with the breaths I need to take remaining lodged in my throat making my lungs burn might be it. Today was a day like any other. My best friends and I were out enjoying the nightlife of New Orleans, only to return home to half our pack having been slaughtered. Only for me to waltz into my parent's home to find them mutilated almost beyond recognition. Our Alpha and Luna were dead for hours, their bodies already starting to cool to the touch.

Piper Beta Lara, Iris, and Natalie all looked terrified when I walked up to them. “Ladies, I’m so sorry this happened to you. I wish you had come to me.” “We couldn’t, Alpha. You were gone and your father and brother threatened us if we said anything,” Beta Lara says.

The whole area was a mess, everywhere you look in the pack house are smeared with blood, there were a lot of broken furniture, trees toppled…the devastation was everywhere. And then… we saw them… a scene that I don’t think I will ever forget in this life. It was just like what Grandpa said. The Alpha and Luna. Crucified. My stomach lurched. I turned away, unable to bear the sight. Celina gasped behind me, her hands clamped over her mouth. Ryker finally spoke. Unlike the rest of us, he seemed to be the one less affected. “We should scatter. Search for anything you see that will be helpful, and if you see any survivor just call. If there’s nothing then we meet back here in thirty minutes.”

I tell him before taking the envelope from his hand. My whole body hurts still, particularly my back, but I’m starting to heal well. The problem with burns is that they take time to heal, and they tend to leave scars. I’m not too worried, but it is in inconvenience. I’ve stayed home for what feels like an eternity now (even though, in reality, it’s only been a few days), when I should be doing better things. I scan through the page in front of me. Twenty-seven deaths, including security and some of the cleaners who’d been on shift the day of the explosion. All the Alphas gone, except for me. Even my Beta, Carla’s father, died in the explosion.

"However, the Alpha managed to dodge the attack. The festival turned into a disaster as people ran helter-skelter, desperately trying to save their lives. My heart twisted in pain at the sight of people crying over the loss of their loved ones, a profound sense of sorrow enveloping the scene. "Everyone, retreat!" I heard the Alpha yell as he ran with some kids in his arms. It was a surprise attack, one he wasn't prepared for. "Everyone, please save yourselves," he pleaded again as he rushed to rescue an old lady who narrowly avoided being shot.

Jake cursed angrily as he shouted, "Tyler, we've got to get out of here!" The situation had gone from bad to catastrophic in the blink of an eye. The floors above us collapsed, sending debris and dust raining down. Panic filled the air as people screamed and rushed for the exits. “Tyler! What’s happen? I think I heard an explosion, Where are you guys?!” "Stay close!" I yelled to the other members on first floor over the din. "We'll get out of this!" Jake was right behind us, his face a mask of determination as we navigated the wreckage. Our fellow Wolf Hunters were struggling to escape, their training kicking in as they guided others to safety.

Alpha James urgently told me. We got back to Fox Village in record time. The woods were on fire, the front gate was knocked down, businesses were up in smoke and families were huddled together. Warriors rushed around checking houses, some were putting out the fires, and others were attending to the wounded. This place was a massacre. "Alpha Louis, search the place for any survivors and bring them to the stadium. Tina and Libby go release anyone in the bunkers and bring them to the stadium. I'll go find Levi and Beta Michael."

The two creatures stopped to argue and watch Maria as they both transformed into their human form. "No-o-o-o-o-o-o!" She wept uncontrollably. That was her last hope. She had no one again. She stood up gently to her feet, her eyes filled with tears rolling with no obstruction. "You!" She turned to scream at the top of her voice but they were gone. She was speechless not thinking of the scene but of grandma. Mr. Darren wasn't there to help so she called 911.

“The house caught fire, but by the time the fire extinguishers put off the fire, it was already too late. Their dead bodies were found inside.” A strange chill ran down my spine, beads of sweat suddenly formed on my forehead. “No...” the word slipped out before I could stop it. A soul-crushing silence filled the room. For several seconds, neither of us spoke. I stared at him, waiting for him to tell me there was more. I waited for him to tell me someone survived, but he didn't. The grief on his face told me everything. “The Alpha hated himself. He cried in secret, unable to let anyone know the misfortune that had befallen him. And just when he thought life was done being cruel to him, he fou

"You may not remember it, but I was the one who was able to help you escape the fire. I also helped your brother and the rest, but they suffered a lot of burns and inhaled smoke. It was too late for them." My heart felt like it was being ripped into a million pieces. Breathing became even more difficult when I felt my knees weaken. It almost gave out, but with a snap of a finger, Alpha Hugh was there to pull me up so I wouldn't fall to the ground. I wanted to push him away, but even that was also difficult to do. I did not have the strength… "Stop blaming yourself, Autumn. Your Dad will not like it. If he could talk right now, he would be proud of you for being strong and surviving even if y
