He took a deep breath, and tried to relax back on the chair so that he could be focused on the book he was reading. After a while he was already so tired of reading the book. He wished he could just stand up right now and go and do something else, but that's really not possible, because there was really nothing for him to do right now, so he just has to remain there in the library. You can return anything to any of the other libraries. Once Sally was outside, she opened the book. Flashes of images starting running through her mind like a video on fast forward. Only these were images of the scrolls and certain symbols stood out to her. She was vaguely aware of her team trying to reach her, but it was like the book stole their speed. They were moving slower than in slow motion. The book was giving her the answers she needed and when it was done, she fell to the pavement and started to scream. Her head was pounding worse than a migraine.

Even with earplugs in, I could still hear them. I started studying, too, though I was still figuring out the basics. Evelyn seemed bothered by my sudden seriousness. She walked over with a textbook Matthias had just marked up and waved it in front of me. "Wendy, you're studying now, too? Reading all by yourself? Can you even understand it? "I have notes here that Matthias just highlighted. I can let you take a look." She waved the book back and forth, then covered her mouth and laughed. "Oh, right. I almost forgot. Matthias doesn't want to teach you anymore.

"The manual." He dragged Elion across the floor to the drafting table. He grabbed the leather book. He opened it. The letters were still static to him. Squiggles. "Read," Cale hissed at himself. "Read, damn you." He couldn't. He slammed the book shut. "Useless." He looked at his wrist. Two marks. He knew what he had to do. He couldn't give the energy back physically. But he could rewind the expenditure. He could go back to before the stairs broke.

A dilemma most readers faced. I ended up in Oscar Wilde's section. A smile formed on my face when I read the name 'The Happy Prince and Other Tales' on the spine of a book. I plucked it out of the shelf and headed towards the seating area. I took a seat on a reading chair by the window and pulled my legs up to make myself comfortable. Silence lingered between them. The rest of the flight was quiet as Kevin sat in another seat at the back busy signing documents and discussing business matters while Emma read a book and intermittently looked out the window watching the scenery below and sometimes stealing a glance back at him and caught him looking at her. After an hour, Kevin walked to her, checking on her as she drifted off to sleep. The leather-bound book she was reading lay open on her lap, the words written on its open page clearly visible; “If I know what love is, it is because of you!" Kevin smiled and then put the book aside. There was no lie in it.

Author's Note: Omg, it's been almost a year since I updated this book! I am so sorryyy. I had this book prewritten and rewritten and stored in my docs file. I logged out of this account and deleted the app when I was trying to create some space on my old phone, and I just completely forgot about this book. But I am back! I really hope I get my lovely viewers back. Just a disclaimer that it might get a bit confusing at first, I am uploading the rewritten version and the timeline isn't really the same as the old version so I apologize in advance if you get a bit confused. she says, then she goes back to staring at her computer screen. I haul the big book back to where I found it, which is behind a bunch of tall shelves where no one can see me. I’m not really thrilled about carrying the big book all the way back to my motel anyway, so I set Astrid down on the floor, flip through the pages to the newborn care section, and quietly rip out all the pages I need. No one will ever look at this book anyway, and I need the information. Shoving the book back on the shelf and wrapping the torn pages into Astrid’s blanket, I walk out of the library and head back to the motel, which I guess I’ll call home for a while.

“Don’t let it close again…Vincent, please!” He lunged forward, slashing through the chains. Sparks flew and shadows shrieked. Each chain he broke writhed back into smoke. The journal fell to the ground, its pages flapping open. The words glowed bright red, like flames: “She is mine.” Vincent roared as he tore the pages away, but every page he ripped turned into smoke and returned to the book. The ghost's voice echoed around him. “You can’t destroy what rewrites itself, fox. This book is her life. Every scream, every scar, every betrayal is written in ink that never fades. If you burn it…you burn her name.”

It read: "Mr. Richards wants you to get ready by 5:30 pm. He intends to leave by 6:45 pm." She put the paper to the side and looked at the time on the wall clock. It was past noon. She still had plenty of time. What was she even going to do to fill up all that extra time? She decided to go to his library and she pick a book. She found one of the books she had previously tried to read. For some reason, the book on seduction kept popping up like it was something the universe wanted her to read.
