I spring after him on powerful haunches, the forest floor blurring beneath my swift paws. Closing in, I see the whites of Adam's panicked eyes as he glances back. Fear rolls off him in waves, spurring me on. I bare my teeth in anticipation, muscles coiling to pounce. But as I leap, something unexpected happens. Suddenly, a gunshot cracks through the air. The bullet pierces my shoulder in a burst of agonizing pain, hot blood matting my fur. I hit the ground hard, the impact knocking the breath from my lungs. Through the haze, I see Ember holding the smoking rifle, her eyes wide with fear yet resolve.

I was forced to make a screeching turn when out of nowhere, a bullet crashed into the front window, right across the windshield. Then, a roaring big bike crossed over us, a huge unknown man wearing a black helmet was riding it and he was holding a revolver! He's their ally! I looked at Atlas. He shot me a reprimanding stare, his face darkening too. I tore my gaze off his, tightened the grip on the steering wheel before I drove furiously. I heard him groan. "Goddamn it, Beverly! There's still other way! What you're doing right now is a fucking suicide! The bastard has a gun! You have to pull over now!" Atlas thundered.

He seemed to enjoy every bit of it, adrenaline pumping in his veins. As more riders made their way to wreak more havoc, Valentino’s men started returning fire. I saw a bullet make its way into the throat of one of the riders and his blood flowing out like a water fountain. My ears ringed and ringed till my eardrum had enough of the ranging shots both near and far. For fear of losing my life, I kept shut and decided to listen to Valentino. He asked me to duck, and so I pulled out of the seat belt and ducked. Immediately I ducked, and a bullet pierced through the glass and landed at the position I sat. I thanked my stars that I had listened to him.

Bullet laughed, “we are switching the genre from romance to action, alright?” I laughed while nodding my head, I was so close to finishing the food on my plate. “Until men in suits just invaded our home,” Bullet widened his eyes, “they had guns and it was pointed to my father. I can clearly remember how I cried so much back then for the life of my father. That woman whom I can’t recall the name was hysterically begging to spare the life of my father and so the men in suit did but only in one condition, the woman will come with them. It was only then that I knew that the man in the suit was the woman’s bodyguard and they were searching for her for a short period of time.”

“It runs in the family. I know nothing else…. I was five years old when I first pulled my first trigger. I was hospitalized for a whole year before I could move my body or talk. “But my father, who had me pull the trigger, did not care what that had done to me.” His expression is filled with regret as he tries to hide it by walking away from me. And I follow him, listening to him. I can relate. My mother never made me pull a trigger, but she pulled so many bullets wounding shots at my heart. “At seven years old, I pulled another trigger and from there I became his weapon, his bullet-killing machine. But at least I did not do it willingly back then.

Over-confident I see! The first bullet was fired by either the driver or one of the three men but that doesn’t matter. A shower of bullets had begun after the first bullet was shot. I ducked as soon as a bullet passed a mere inches away from my ear. I stood up again and fired at the man in the middle then the other two on both of his sides. All of them were down, laying on the ground with blood pooling around them, staining the gravel road. I blew the smoke coming out of the nozzle of the gun.

The second one responded, “This tactic in the dark… It’s Uno’s signature.” “Uno? I thought no one has ever seen him?” a rookie, I assume, asks. “Wrong,” I decided to cut off their conversation, feeling the high of the night through my veins. “It’s not that no one sees me.” They looked up in my direction with eyes wide in fear. I pointed my gun at them and said, “It’s that no one lives to tell once they see me.” With a pull of the trigger, I shot the three of them… one bullet piercing their skulls in a straight line.

In a battle between gifted, a three-second freeze was all it took to flip the script. Hudson and Jax didn't waste a millisecond. Lightning and ice pierced through the raiders' chests. The tide turned instantly. The brutes were frozen solid before they could even scream. But just as I exhaled, thinking we were safe, the unexpected happened. The scarred leader, with his dying breath, pulled the trigger of his rifle. BANG! A searing, tearing agony ripped through my side. The sheer force of the bullet threw me backward onto the dirt.

The deafening sound of the trigger being pulled resonates through the air, followed by a sharp, searing pain in my chest. My heart races, fear coursing through my veins, as I realise that the bullet narrowly missed its mark. The shock of the moment starts to fade, replaced by a chilling realisation: the bullet is silver. Panic sets in as I comprehend that my supernatural healing abilities won’t save me this time. The urgent need to remove the silver bullet pulses through my body, a desperate race against time to cheat death.

Walter said, it's quite a problem they are with a gun, and the wolfsbane is still affecting everybody. "Can you really defend against bullet?" Damien asked, I remember it's the last training Madiba gave me, I never knew why but now am happy he did. "Don't rely on your eyes, bullets are too fast, sense it too" I remembered his exact word. Then I closed my eyes and readied myself for the bullet. "Saying your last prayers already" I heard Damien said. "Whatever happens stay behind me," I said to my mate, the other pack members are not close to me so the bullet won't hit them. I heard the first bullet being fired. I cut it in two, I heard gasped, nobody knew its possible.
