Chapter Two: SIGHTING Later that night, Rojean dolled up to go to a place that was both a nightclub and a bar that everyone was talking about. She was old enough, for sure, especially if she was going to get married soon. Her skin was a golden caramel, and she had flowing long brown curls. “Who are you? Why are you here?” “My name is Rose.” I let out a breath. Was she a member of Red Spruce, or maybe the equivocal Lunar Lake pack? “Did you see that creature?”

Sophia smiled kindly at Lily, the girl with glasses looked shy judging from her gestures. Lily tended to be a stiff and introverted girl. The girl returned Sophia's smile awkwardly, only briefly because after that Lily focused on reading the thick book in her hand. Sophia placed her bag next to Lily's chair, then tried to greet Lily. “Hi, my name is Sophia Rosetta.” Sophia extended her hand. Lily did not respond immediately, the girl stared at Sophia's palm for a moment, then looked at Sophia's face for a moment.

"Everything happened so fast. Mr. Adams took me to the horse barn to get acquainted with one of his horses. Everything was fine when I got close to the horse, but things went wrong when Mr. Adams asked me to pet his favourite horse." Rose stopped her story. The girl licked her lips and looked at Ace and me in turn. "The horse went crazy when I touched it," Rose continued. I could see the fear in Rose's eyes. Oh, my little girl! She must have been in pain and terrified as she faced the out-of-control horse. "Daddy," Rose called in a voice that sounded weak. "What's wrong?" Ace looked gently at the child. Rose wet her lips and asked, "Did the horse go crazy because it knew I was a werewolf?"

"You're starting to look like a little pervert!" Before Rose could react, another tiny version of herself appeared with a puff of imaginary smoke. She wore a black dress, a pair of tiny red horns perched on her head, and lazily rested a little pitchfork over her shoulder. Mini Devil Rose crossed one leg over the other and smirked. "Oh, please." She waved a dismissive hand. "She's simply appreciating the view." She glanced toward Alex and nodded approvingly. "And can you blame her? Look at him."
