I snapped back to my senses and realized there was a scalpel in my hand. Anna was curled up on the ground in a miserable heap. Her eyes were swollen from crying. “Dr. Summer, I’m sorry! Please just let me go!” She clutched at the leg of my pants, knocking her head against the concrete as she begged. I shook my head to get some clarity, realizing that the drug she had given me earlier must have had hallucinogenic effects. “Summer, don’t do anything rash!” Anna and I stood only inches from the edge of the rooftop.

"I can be Spider-Man and Batman? Best day ever!" He turned and bolted up the stairs two at a time, already lost in his own joy, completely unaware of the storm gathering beneath our roof. Alone in the hallway, my fingers drifted to the pendant resting against my collarbone, the one I had worn every single day for ten years. I didn't need to look at it to know the words engraved across its surface. 'Next summer, find me if you can.' Summer's POV She stared at the gruesome faces covered in blood, their mouths open wailing in agony. They moved towards her as she tried to back away. Behind them the devil himself smiled viciously enjoying the look of pure terror on her face. Try as she might she couldn't back any further as they closed in clawing at her while laughing. Waking with a jolt Summer attempted to catch her breath as her heart hammered in her chest. Her whole body shook from the overwhelming fear she was feeling from the same nightmare she had almost every night.

This leaves me to wonder what this beautiful creature next to me is capable of but that quickly slips my mind as she stirs. Summer nodded, her thoughts still reeling from the evening's events. As they strolled through the quiet corridors, Dominic asked, "Are you okay?" Summer's gaze met his, searching. "What the moon goddess priestess said...about me being the former priestess...is it true?" Dominic's expression turned reassuring. "No, Summer. It's just an old legend. Don't pay attention to it." But Summer's mind was already racing. The dreams she'd been having – visions of herself in a cave, surrounded by ancient symbols – lingered, refusing to be dismissed.

Minerva avowed, a smirk forming on her lips as she closed her eyes and everywhere suddenly became darkened. "Oh no she's transforming, don't let her finish the transformation, attack!" The vampire yelled as the air seemed to seize and the army charged towards the couple . . . "No!" Summer yelled waking up from her nightmare while sweating profusely and her heart was beating faster than normal in her chest. Who were those people? Why was she having a dream about them? And those creatures, what were they? How was she in any way related to any of this? Summer asked herself, her heart beat slowly became normal again.

The chair squeaked as she shifted. She peered at him. “I...have these dreams.” Dorian’s brows furrowed. He leaned forward. “Dreams?” he prompted. Summer nodded. “Yes, like...like visions,” she said haltingly. His mind stuttered for a moment. Visions? How did she…? “How do you know?” he asked impassively although his heart had started thudding
