She was only able to make a quick wave of her hand before the resulting impact made by the tentacles buried her friends underneath the once functional passageway, never to be seen again on the face of the earth.

"Just don't be afraid of me. If it bothers you, don't look." With those words, he seemed to dissolve into a thick stack of black fog. His face peered from the center and took on a horrifying, almost demonic appearance, with glowing red eyes and elongated features made of the same fog. Emily opened her mouth in a silent scream, but the only sound that emerged was an almost inaudible squeak. "Don't look," he commanded, his voice sounding like a haunted howl of wind. "Hold on tight," he instructed as the group barreled through the line of werewolves and into the night.

Whatever Fear Monger whispered to him stood close to the door frame to get to him now bore an injury, and Evan saw something fall to the ground. “What is that?” Evan pointed down at the amorphous, shadowy thing on the ground. “I think it’s a bloody tentacle. They’re semi-real. Like they’re half in this world and half in another. Because of that, it makes them hard to kill. This blade’s forged a special way. That’s why we want to give you all one. For protection. Okay, light up the back wall now from left to right slowly.”

“You should be patient. Start small. Use sigils, you’ll get there faster. There’s a reason they were created.” “Manufactured.” “What?” “Manufactured.
