Whispers of a Broken Heart

Whispers of a Broken Heart

Sophia whispered, her voice shaky but determined. Ethan pressed a finger to his lips, signaling for silence. He motioned for them to retreat farther into the forest. With slow, calculated steps, they began to edge backward, away from the clearing where they had foolishly let their guard down. The forest was thick, offering cover in the form of towering trees and dense foliage, but it also concealed whoever—or whatever—was lurking out there. Sophia’s heart pounded in her chest, the rhythmic thumping deafening in her ears. She gripped her gun tighter, the metal cool against her clammy skin. Every snap of a twig, every rustle of leaves made her jump, her senses heightened to a razor's edge.

Whispers of the Devil

Whispers of the Devil

As it’s added to his collection of damned souls over the years, it’s inadvertently created its own opposition. We won’t stand for Amos’s corruption any longer. A simple nod from me is all it takes for us to rush the demon. The shimmering mass of spirits surrounds it in an instant, tearing and rending at its pulpy skin until it lies in shreds before us. Amos shrieks once, then twice, and then falls completely silent. Is it over? I hardly want to believe it. A ragged pile of debris litters the moss where Amos stood only moments before. The other spirits, their energy completely spent, flicker out of view one by one until I’m the last one left. The whole time, the swamp holds its breath.

Whispers Across the Moon

Whispers Across the Moon

I had no idea where to find him, so I stood outside the prison gates where Trevis had been incarcerated for years. That day, many inmates were released after serving their sentences, but I never saw the person I longed to see. As night fell, I left. The years of longing and unexpressed emotions had almost driven me crazy. So, I began to write, using my few memories to document our story. I titled it "Whispers Across the Moon." It was published in my senior year. The story of a young girl's innocent and unrequited love moved countless readers to tears and touched many hearts.

Midnight Whispers

Midnight Whispers

I stayed with Justin throughout the morning. Luckily for him the wraiths had improved. They were faster and more precise and could even doge slightly. For being soul spirits of the deceased they had improved greatly. At around midday Justin waved the wraiths off. “They are doing better.” I spoke carefully watching him dunk a bucket of water over his head. “Not good enough. They need to not hesitate. Kill faster and more cleaner.” Justin paused “If they are not ready by Summer Solstice, Eric will not let it go lightly.”

White Whispers

White Whispers

Claire, Kathryn, Violet, Gold, and Crystal first appeared spaced out before their enemies, then an army of tormented and haunted whispers appeared behind them, and Rose materialized before her party. The Baron, a slim man with deadly yellow eyes, saw her, and shivered. He tried to vanish, but the air rejected his request, for Violet held him still. The sea raged against his party and began to pick them off, and fire fell amongst their midst, burning the men to cinders, but leaving the whispers to bask in the warmth of the flame. A blizzard came from Claire, and the ground shook. Whispers rushed past Rose, running to the army of the Baron, and engaging them in a productive battle that saw to

Mated to the Alpha Knight

Mated to the Alpha Knight

They are often found hunting during night, their prey including anything with a pulse, but Northern Whispers seem to prefer the strong meat of Lycan hearts thus pushing them into unfamiliar and newfound regions where one might not expect them. Northern Whispers are known as one of the strongest creatures ever to step foot on the planet Earth, well… If they had feet. Northern Whispers are practically invisible, only a slight bluish white tint to their icy skin which allows them to be seen; their bodies mimic that of a frilled shark, long in size and they swim through air. It is rumoured that the colder the air is, the easier they can fly, but that has yet to be discovered… Their teeth are dea

Good story but some events that occurred had no impact on the story and I wondered why they were included unless it’s revealed in the next book, e.g., the Truth Lake 🤷🏻‍♀️ when she got bitten by the snake in the lake, what did that all mean🤷🏻‍♀️ Mind I did skim read a lot of it so could have mis
