The Alpha’s Betrayed Mate

The Alpha’s Betrayed Mate

"I know, love. But you're strong. Stronger than anyone I've ever known." I shook my head, another sob breaking free. "I'm not. I'm just..." "You are," he interrupted, his hand sliding down to cradle my swollen belly. "You've survived everything they threw at you. You survived Zac. You survived me. You'll survive this." The midwife, an older woman named Elara with silver-streaked hair and steady hands, moved around the room with quiet efficiency. She lit candles, their warm glow pushing back the shadows that danced on the walls. She glanced at me, her expression calm but serious.

The Forsaken

The Forsaken

The woman responded before turning to the midwife. "Take it out, deep into the forest and leave it there, then come back to fix her. We have to get back before they do." As the midwife put her cloak on she disappeared with the baby in her arms as all it was left behind were screams and cries. Now deep into the forest, the midwife hurried as she was no longer in the territory, scared to be discovered she left the baby by the tree and fled fast not looking back, not feeling remorse, after all, she only cared about getting her pay. And there it was. Lying in the darkness, left in the storm but soon enough the clouds in the sky parted and the moon shined over the baby as a figure of a woman appe

"We have to get you to a hospital." "Please, no hospital." For a moment, the woman remained silent, watching me and debating whether or not she should listen to me or not. When she finally let out a long breath and nodded, I closed my eyes and let out a relieved sigh. "Marshal!" The woman yelled at the shopkeeper. "Help me get this young lady to the back office." "But Patricia!" Marshal barked, seeming genuinely shocked. "We don’t know the first thing..." "I do!" A woman with brown hair and deep green eyes announced. "I’m a midwife. I can help with the delivery."

The Lunar Queen's Redemption

The Lunar Queen's Redemption

Each passing moment drained Nyra’s reserves, the sacred pregnancy pushed toward an altar of blood and war. The contraction struck like a hammer blow. Nyra’s cry echoed through the chamber, pain tearing through her core as every nerve ignited. She gripped the edge of the bed, nails biting into the wood. “Ryker,” she moaned, voice fractured, “help me…” He slid beside her, wrapping her in strong arms to steady her. “Push, Nyra. You can do this.” She nodded, tears blurring her sight. The midwife; an elderly woman named Marisol, knelt at Nyra’s feet. Her lined face was calm beneath the flickering torchlight.

MIDWICK

MIDWICK

He ordered. I don’t know who died and made him the boss of me? What gave him the right to order me around? It made me furious, but again, I shouldn’t be surprised. Cain Cadell was known to treat witches like servants, and when they didn’t do his beddings, he killed them. Usually, in the most gruesome ways ever. I just want this night to be over with. I thought to myself, then said, “Just bring a shovel.” He gave me a Cheshire grin and nodded his head. The car ride was engulfed in a tense silence. He gave me a side glance, as we neared the cemetery, “How long have you lived in Midwick?” He asked out of the blue.

The Pack's Vampire

“I gave her blood not knowing how long it would take Gera to find you, but my blood does not have your potency.” “What is wrong?” Thaelen took Isolte’s place and accepted the athame that Gera brought him, slicing over his wrist and placing it at the witch’s mouth. She was unconscious, and he could feel the heat of her fever, smell the sharp stench of illness on her sweat. “I do not know,” Sigrid told him, shaking her head. “I think I do,” Isolte offered hesitantly. “I have seen mothers take suddenly like this, without warning, after hard births. The midwives say that it is an infection inside that spreads so quickly.” She shook her head to indicate that such cases were lost.

This series is epic, a real nail biter! Yes, it is dark and touches on many uncomfortable issues, but there is redemption and forgiveness and healing. It shows that people can overcome their past and true change is possible with love and communication. I love the characters, especially the vampire.
Fox 2005
very dense story. highly recommended to start with book one, else you are missing too many information needed to understand the different timelines and points if view. yet these arches are more than necessary for the density. showing perspectives, helping the reader to understand the characters...

Vampire Queen (Book 2 Vampire Witch Trilogy)

Vampire Queen (Book 2 Vampire Witch Trilogy)

When he realized I wasn’t going to order Luthias to leave and he clearly wasn’t going on his own accord, Gondofini spoke. “I understand you have brought a midwife to serve as your physician during your term,” he said with angst as he looked around the room. “I wish to meet her to make certain she is up to task.” “She has gone for the evening,” I said flatly. “I see,” he replied. “There is no need for you to concern yourself,” Luthias said softly. “This woman is quite familiar with her majesty’s needs as she delivered her first child not long ago.”

The cruel alpha’s hired Luna

The cruel alpha’s hired Luna

"You're doing great. Our baby's almost here." And then, in a rush of pain and joy, our child was born, a tiny, squalling bundle of life, nestled in the midwife's arms. The midwife was a regular kind of midwife. She was the seventh of the goddess, the one who brought all the good and bad news to do that leads in the park. She was the priest, a holy one. The one who had the power to kill, and it make a life just as a goddess. I smiled for joy as my little bundle of joy, cool, and walked his legs in the air.

I know she still wants a boy. “Ha… Thank you…” Conor said with a sigh. “That does concern me though…” Like a lot… “I know Conor. But Bertha came highly recommended from Robert and two other doctors I have been able to speak with. She is the leading midwife of the aristocracy and of Mazifik in general. She has over forty years of experience, so Karen is in the best hands when it comes to prenatal care.” Bart said walking over to Joanne and Conor. He sat on the edge of the bed. “I’ve been trying to learn as much as I can so when we go home I will be able to care for her myself.”

Claimed By The Triplet Alphas

Claimed By The Triplet Alphas

The story goes that she was in the maternity ward, writhing on the bed, screaming so loud that her throat went hoarse, and feeling like someone was stabbing her over and over in every vein. The midwives tried to help her. Her painful cries were heard even outside the coven walls. Her dying spirit cried out to every deity possible. The midwife believed her cries for help sounded so much like she was being murdered slowly. “The baby is in breech position," the chief midwife told my father. "We're doing our best to save both mother and child.” Mother prayed to Freya, the goddess of love, beauty, and fertility, to spare her life, but the goddess either turned a deaf ear or enjoyed tormenting her

BOOK 1 WAS GREAT. I FEEL LIKE SHE RUSHED BOOK 2, BUT WITH HER RECENT EDITS, IT LOOKS GREAT TOO. PLEASE, DON'T CONDEMN THE AUTHOR AS SHE EXPLAINED, SHE SUBMITTED THE CHAPTERS IN BULK AND HAS EDITED THE CHAPTERS. I DON'T THINK WE SHOULD LITTER HER BOOK WITH BAD REVIEWS WITHOUT READING THE EDITS
April
This book could be good but it seems like it is all over the place. Repeated chapters, unfinished stories, jumping from one scene to another without any in between. Its like the book is going to fast with the witch curse but also not fast enough with who she chooses as her mate
