This is my own story of how I found love at first sight in a hospital and it led me to finding the love of my life. Two years old Eve, whose parents had just passed away in a car crash and the hospital was planning on sending her off into extensive care. I had gone to the hospital for a monthly donation from my father's account, I didn't have much personally so I usually donate from my father's account and since he was a big business tycoon, a few zeros couldn't do him any harm.

The five houses who had joined Eve valued humans, living in harmony with the world, they held onto more of their humanity. Eve had vowed never to turn another, that no one else deserved this fate. The five were seen as weaker because they would not turn someone easily, they tended not to feed from humans if they could avoid it. When Erik became a grown man, Eve felt her heart could not take him growing old and dying, she went against her own vow and turned her son.

I didn’t ask, though—I kept my focus on the carved images in front of me. "My parents left me some properties," Eve admitted. "But an extended family member got greedy. And since they don’t exactly know where I am… they’re trying to take everything." I rolled the puzzle piece between my fingers. Shahar turned to the side, his brows drawn. "What are we talking about? A couple of shops? Some farmland?" Eve shrugged, her fingers still working the dye into his hair. "A few vineyards, some estates, and a trade house," she said lightly. "Nothing too serious."

Someone shouted into the empty house everyone had left for the party " _----------Jack POV. ---------- "Eve come down, " I told her trying to grab her hand but she ran into the dark cloud "Hey, what happened to you will run, " I said she could not hear me, and then I thread a familiar growl that was the demon I knew I had to fight at least it was better than fighting a cloud the darkness kept rising until I couldn't see my hands in front of my face. "let's fight, "I tried to turn but nothing happened back in my room I turned and was just as shaken as Eve my grey fur had turned black

Paid quickly and drove home. When I stepped back inside, the living room was dim, the TV flickering with some mindless morning show. Eve sat curled on the couch, wrapped in a thick furred blanket, knees drawn up, sipping fruit juice from a glass. She looked small, fragile, and pale against the dark fabric, with eyes glassy from fever and unshed tears. She didn’t look at me when I entered. I set the pharmacy bag on the coffee table gently, not wanting to startle her.

Eve's POV The estate was called Briarwood, and it was obscene. Sixteen bedrooms spread across a main house and two guest cottages. A commercial grade kitchen with marble countertops and a wine cellar. A pool house with floor to ceiling windows overlooking the Hudson River. Gardens designed by someone who had clearly watched too many period dramas
