Shama sat beneath the moonlit sky, the cool breeze caressing her skin. She gazed up at the full moon, its silvery glow illuminating the vast expanse of the night sky. Myriad stars twinkled around it, like diamonds scattered on black velvet. Shama wondered which celestial body she most resembled: the lone moon, shining brightly in the darkness, or the countless unknown stars, twinkling beside it, their light unseen by most.

Maria: What's troubling my Moon so much that he's so lost and sad? Moon: It's a girl ma. Maria: She must be so so special that she has effected you this much. Moon: She is ma. She sweet, she's cute, she's innocent, she's stunning and I love the way her dimples get deeper when she smiles. Maria: Slow down. Who is she? The sight before me took my breath away. It was like another world was carefully hidden inside this cave. A little piece of heaven. I looked ahead and saw a beautiful waterfall falling down from one side of the mountain into a beautiful azure lake. The grass spread all around the area with little colorful flowers decorating it and giving beautiful color to the site. But what was giving this magical place more to it, the moonlight that shone from above on it all. We walked down into the little heaven, and I saw little fireflies flying around us.

I asked, turning to the other woman, who pulled down her hood. She was glowing a soft white, and her skin was the color of the moon, her eyes pitch black. She wore a thick silver crown that bore the different cycles of the moon. The full moon at the front of her head, “It’s been some time since I have seen you, child.” The woman’s voice was echoed, a mix between a man’s and a woman’s voice. “You’ve grown so much… I can’t wait to see you lead our people into the era of the light and out of the era of darkness.” “What do you mean? I’m dead?”

The sight that befell Cilyna and Kaynon as they reached the side of the mountain had Cilyna staring in astonishment. An older woman with hip length silver hair sat cross legged in the center of a salt circle. There was no wind blowing through the trees, yet her hair was flowing all around her as if she had stuck her finger in a light socket though gently swaying to her soft siren chant. The setting sun was her spotlight and the small dust like particles floating in the air looked like glitter. The scene had a Disney magic feel to it.

My head was spinning, and at this moment, it was too much to bear. Alone, I pulled the Afghan over myself and watched the figures moving across the screen, enjoying being able to lie down and stretch out comfortably for the first time in days. Her gaze went up, staring up at the lustrously flickering moon, full and round, hidden with enigmas lurking behind it, detecting so much havoc here on earth yet still glazed brightly without a care in the world.
