____ Twilight sat nervously, fidgeting with her fingers as she waited. Soon, the door opened, and a cop led her father into the space opposite her, separated by the transparent glass barrier between them. Christopher sat down, placing his cuffed hands on the table and leaning forward slightly. A scoff tore from his throat. "Who was that Alpha?" he asked. "I didn’t come here for that..." "Answer my fucking question!" he snapped, and Twilight’s jaw clenched. "He came out of nowhere, beat me up, and threw me into this jail. Since when did you start involving yourself in the werewolf world without my knowledge?"

Ten years after Mirabel's death, Lucy sat in her home office writing the epilogue to her fifth and final book. Outside, she could hear the sounds of family life: William on a conference call in his study, the twins arguing about something in their room, Catherine's music drifting down from upstairs.

I came back in the library to get the book, I brought it to my room to read it again even though I'm not sure if it's still blank but I'm hoping to find out more about it and to know how to unlock every pages of it, I think there's a secret word, button or something in it. And to my surprise the first page already has it's content but it's different now from the last thing that I've read, hell! How can it possibly do that? I tried reading it and it says that i can read the whole content in the night of a blood moon which is my birthday. And there are only few creatures that can read it, a destined creature needs to have a hold of this book.

I'll never read it. Eveline smiled. "You won't have to." Confusion crossed everyone's face. "What do you mean?" Zara asked. Eveline's smile widened. "The page isn't trying to reach Kael anymore, It's waiting..." She looked directly at Zara. "...for the person he loves." Zara felt the blood drain from her face. Before anyone could react, the floating page turned, Its silver glow shifted slowly and it began drifting toward her. The page drifted slowly toward Zara. Its silver glow rippled across the chamber, washing over the stone walls like moonlight on still water.

One after another, they surged through us, seeking what had been promised. The moment the waves struck the witch’s spirit, a scream of pure agony tore through the air. The winds grew even fiercer, swirling violently around her. Elowen spoke louder, still in that unknown tongue, and the winds obeyed her commands. They reversed course, rushing back into the book and dragging the spirit with them. “NO!!!!” she howled as her essence fused with the pages. Elowen slammed the book shut, pouring even more intensity into her words. Slowly the cover began to transform, the gold fading and giving way to a deep, dark green.

His voice was so quiet she almost thought she imagined it. “You always smell like vanilla and rain,” he murmured. She blinked, looking over her shoulder. “What?” He froze mid-step. His shoulders stiffened, and for a second, there was a moment of something raw in his eyes — horror disguised under a mask of indifference. “Nothing,” he said quickly. “I said the spine’s broken on that copy.” He pointed vaguely to the row of books beside her. The one his finger landed on was perfectly intact. She didn’t press him. Didn’t call him out.

He pulled back, whispering “This is wrong.” I smiled, brushing my lips against his ear. “Then why does it feel so right?” I whispered back. “We need to do this the right way, for now, we are getting to know each other.” “We sure are” I mumbled, reaching for my purse to reapply my lipstick. “How about we make this official?” I paused, with my lipstick in hand. A moment i had been waiting for. Words i needed to hear. I was winning, with no Olivia in sight. I was finally getting what i wanted. Eric Wilson.

Twilight hears another roar in the distance. It was the roar of the prowler. Twilight smiles. I guess I’ve got more test subjects. Twilight runs towards the roar.

I wasn’t allowed access to such books at the palace—they were reserved only for the healers and the educated men—and I wonder if I may finally find my answers here. I’m distracted, though. My skin itches, and every time I see the word “wolf” on the page, I think of Ethan’s eyes. Every time I shift position on the bed, I think about how he massaged me. Every time I catch the smell of woodsmoke drifting from one of the rooms below, I’m reminded of his scent. Twilight arrives, and my room is painted in grey shadow. I’m reading about how a wolf bite can activate the wolf gene in a half-wolf, when someone knocks on the door. I drop the book.

It contained only one sentence: “When the final page is turned, the knowledge will leave the page and enter the reader. There is no turning back.” My hands shook. I stared at the last page blank except for a single sigil in the center, glowing faintly in the candlelight. It wasn’t ink. It was light. Living light. I took a breath and exhale.Then I turned the page. The moment my finger touched the corner, the book screamed with sensation. A surge of energy broke through me, white-hot and blinding. It poured into my eyes, my mouth, my bones. I felt my memories unravel and reweave, my thoughts multiply, my very breath split into a thousand threads.
