It should have been calming, but every sound outside, every tremor, every muffled explosion, made my muscles tighten again.
I could feel the battle. Even from here. The distant clash of claws and steel. The waves of heat from tiger fire and the icy snap of wolf magic. The energy of it made the air vibrate, as though the earth itself was torn between both sides.
