The Book didn't speak in words. It spoke in feelings—a pull beneath my ribs, a warmth that spread through my chest, a whisper that sounded like my own voice but older. I woke in the deepest dark, the room cold and still, my heart already pounding. The Book was on my desk where I'd left it, but it was open now, its pages turning without wind. I sat up slowly, my breath misting in the air, and I watched the silver script shift and rearrange itself like water finding a new path.

He dusted the book, which made him cough with discomfort. Alvin too came and stood beside Alpine to take a look at the book. The book is old and the words are a little faded. But the book is heavy. Alvin took the book from his brother and slowly opened it. 'Fairy fire' The words floated in the air as soon as he opened the book. "What do you seek from me winter king?" A voice floated in the air around them. The voice is as monotonous as the silent water. "Who are you?" Alvin asked.

The book seemed to have come alive under his touch. “What is this?” Lyon whispered, his voice laced with fear and awe. Buy he couldn't stop himself. As he opened the book, the pages seemed to turn on their own and finally stopped on a particular page and his eyes were drawn to the text and as he traced his fingers on it they words seemed to glow under his touch. The words had come alive almost as if they were speaking to him. Immediately, the energy in the room changed as he began to read the words.

The book was an ancient one from the looks, it had latin words and strange patterns written all over it. The only understandable word was the bold 'Garou' written at the top. I touched the book in Crescent's hand expecting to get the same reaction, but i didnt, it was just normal. I guess the book knows what it's doing, it wanted Crescent to open it. Scratch that, it wasn't normal, the feeling of touching the book was different from the feeling of touching a normal book. It felt like the book had a life of it's own. "Should we open it?" Crescent asked." I don't think we should, we aren't supposed to be here in the first place" I said and he agreed with me, then he put the book back in it's p

But these aren’t just any books. The first title I see reads: Everything You Need to Know About Wolves. My fingers tremble as I pull it from the shelf. Another title catches my eye: The Ranking of Wolves: Alpha, Beta, Luna… My stomach knots as I glance around. This room wasn’t meant to be found. Someone went to great lengths to hide it, but clearly, they didn’t do a good enough job. I carry the first book to a nearby table and open it, my eyes scanning the pages. Then a single word leaps out at me: Mate.

As soon as I open the book and try to read the first sentence, my head starts to ache. All the words pour out of the book and start to float in the air while some start to crawl around the mess on my bed like spiders. Everything seems jumbled, puzzled and the letters dance in front of my eyes, leaving their words, messing the sentences. They daunt me, they haunt me. They tease me because I can’t catch them and put them on right places so that they could make sense to me. The ’d’s and the ’b’s look so confusing. I can’t tell them apart. To me, they appear the same. I see the words leave the book, leaving the page empty and run around for me to catch them.

Amelia looked down at the book and she saw the white fire she had walked into at the temple. “That’s it, that’s the white fire which was at the temple,” she exclaimed. “Just as I thought,” Cara replied. “But there’s nothing written about it,” Amelia said. The page only had the picture of the white fire on it but nothing else that could tell them what it was about. “Don’t be too sure,” Cara said. She reached out for a bottle of black ink that was on the table and poured it all over the page of the book. “What are you…” Amelia stopped talking when she saw words starting to appear out of the ink that was on the page. “Woah!” she said in awe.
