“Uhh, my head hurts so much.” I said getting off from the bed. Isabel was already up, she seemed to be having a hairdo next to the mirror. I rubbed my eyes sitting at the edge of my bed.

“I thought you were dead over there for a moment.” She said, focusing immensely on what she was doing.

“What can I say, I'm hard to kill.”

“Ha, I don’t think you’ll last long In Sheffield.”

“Really, so you presume l’m weak?”

“You watched Oliver and I make love together, why did you do that?” She said, totally ignoring my question.

“What would you have had me do?” I replied feeling my cheeks burn.

“I don't know, probably announcing yourself would have worked.”

“Look, I knocked before entering, but it seemed you were too busy to respond. Just forget about that, I already promised Oliver that I won’t mention it.”

“Great. So tell me, how was your journey?” Her lips curled into an unexpected smile as she replied, then she asked, curiosity etched in her tone.

“Who is the white wolf? I have to kill her, she killed a friend of mine.” I said, my blood boiling. I looked at Isabel, she looked scared, it was evident in her eyes.

“I’m not sure you know who that is. You know what I was wrong. I’m not certain you’ll even see the light of  tomorrow. I mean you just got here, and you’re already planning to kill Lady Lauren, Sheffield’s Student president. The iron princess of Andovia.”

“Yeah, it doesn’t make her indestructible. She’ll pay one day, that's a promise.” I said as a hot tear dropped from my eyes. Brownwell was a pure man in spirit, one of the few good people left on earth. The gods wail for his death.

“Elsa, I understand you want to get revenge for your friend's death, but trust me, you can’t beat her.” Isabel replied with her face settling low.

“What’s the matter Isabel? It seems she did something to you.” I asked, noticing the despair on her face. Her face was usually carved in indifference, so seeing her saddened came as a surprise.

“Nothing, I’m okay.” She replied suddenly, forcing a composed look.

“Just stay away from her, besides, you need to be alive to be able to exert your revenge.” She said, getting up from the chair, she walked to her wardrobe, got some clothes and passed them to me.

“Thanks.”

I got into the bathroom, turning on the shower, I unconsciously let out a soft moan as the lukewarm water glided over my skin, wrapping me in a steamy embrace.

Is she really a god? I asked myself, recalling the dream from last night. But that would make more sense. Who else would be able to save me from the clutches of death if not a god. It all still felt crazy because by this time last year, I was just a normal kid at home with my mom and dad. Now I have this great purpose to fulfill.

She also kept asking why I didn’t know what I was. But, what else could I be? I asked myself as I stepped out of the bathroom, vapor filling the room.

“Are you damn kidding me! What the hell are you doing here!” I exclaimed, quickly returning to the bathroom.

“Relax Elsa, you don’t have to be shy. I'm just here to get Isabel for breakfast.” Oliver answered, his gaze locking on Isabel’s in a silent suggestive exchange.

“Would you like to go with us Elsa?” Oliver added.

“I don’t mind.” I replied, as Isabel handed me a towel. I wore a yellow dress that held my curves, my chest half exposed.

“What? Isn’t it good?.” She replied, noticing my stare.

“That's my most modest dress.” She added.

We left the room walking down the hall. For the first time getting here, I saw werewolves a lot, they were all heading in the same direction. We made a few cuts before finally reaching the dining room.

The dining room was quite a spectacle I had to admit, it was a very huge hall, lined with baroque tables that stretched to the far end of the hall. It reminded me of the kind seen in most grand films where the wealthy had their feast.

We walked to a table closest and sat down. A few minutes later, the staff came out soon with the dishes, I opened my plate salivating at the forest panda meat in front of me. Even with my ability to consume werewolves, I was still able to eat normal meat but the problem was it couldn’t satisfy me any longer, it was more like a snack. I still needed to consume my kind… werewolf flesh to live and get stronger.

The full moon happened once a year for werewolves in which we all quarantined ourselves inside, locked up in chains to avoid killing each other because it made us aggressive like wild monsters, but since the night I got this ability, the effects of the full moon don’t affect me anymore. Sometimes I felt like a cheat character in a game. But I knew my life was no game, l’ve come a long way to call my success a game.

I wanted to change things for Bulgaria, my country, and my homeland. I want to give them a better life. The system still had to pay for what it did to my mom. But to do that I have to beat the system. I was halfway through my meal when Oliver spoke up.

“So Elsa you’ve been lost in your thought for a while now care to let us in?” Oliver asked, smiling while the three boys by the left side of the table joined him grinning.

“Let her be Oliver, she lost someone.” Isabel responded, glancing at me.

“Oh, I'm sorry about that Elsa.” He replied, shooting a look at the boys, that told them to lose their smiles.

“So, what do we do after now.” I asked changing the topic to lighten up the mood.

“We have combat classes by 10am.” One of the boys smiling earlier said.

“Yeah, and don’t be late, no one dares to do that. Professor Miocent is a no nonsense man.” Another added beside him. They later introduced themselves as Josh Elosquire, Richard Philmore and Brad Pitton.

“Guys, what’s up with the stare?” I asked, looking at them for an answer.

“Elsa Oppenheimer, the administrator would like to see you.” I heard a cold voice, one I’m familiar with. Turning my back my gaze met hers.

ELSA’S POVRodriguez looked flustered. The expression on his face revealed his embarrassment. His lips parted while making a statement but the words stuck on his tongue.“Anyways, be more careful with your lucid thoughts next time.”His hand met his hair as he scratched while looking elsewhere.“But what is this? You can hear my thoughts now?”“Yes, whenever I choose to. I can communicate telepathically also. The pack rules bind you and you will suffer if you violate them.”I turned to leave, and I had already taken a few steps when I noticed a looming shadow that stood above me. I turned back already knowing who followed me.“Elsa.”“Alex, you always pull up at the most unexpected time.”His lips curled in an elated smile as he got closer, taking me in for a warm embrace. It was the same feeling I felt every time I was with him, each time I wrapped my arms around him, there was this feeling in my heart, like it shouldn't end. But it always did. Incidentally, after thinking about thi

“You finally figured it out. It must have been a hard puzzle to solve.” Ha answered, his sarcasm obvious in his reply.“I told you to watch your back, no one humiliates me that way.” He got up from where he was, forming another fight stance.“So what is this, revenge?” I asked, stepping closer. Rodriguez was no match for me, but I liked his resilience; he wasn’t one to give up easily.“How about a deal Rodriguez?”He raised the corner of his eye. He stared at me for a while. After what felt like decades he responded“What kind of deal?”“It’s simple, if I lose this fight I’ll do whatever you say.”“No. That won’t be necessary, I intend on killing you here.” He replied, waving my words away.“Yes, you could end my life if you want.”“And what’s in it for you?” he shifted his leg, adjusting his stance to look stern.“You’ll work for me.” “Girl, you have some serious guts. You'll meet the gods today.”“Are you afraid to accept?”“Hahaha, you know what? I accept your request. This just

“Isn’t that the level four student who was angry when you turned him down?” It was Oliver who spoke and he just revealed some interesting information while looking at Isabella.“I feel sorry for him, imagine getting turned down by Isabella,” Brad said, laughing. Richard bumped his shoulders saying“Oh come on, stop messing around, you know how much of a jerk Athelstan was to Isabella.” “What did he do Isabella?” I asked. I didn't want to look too interested in the topic, so I wandered carefreely.Isabella’s face contorted in an unsettling way as she recalled the story. “Athelstan approached me in the first week of school, he professed love to me stating it was love at first sight, he said he could feel our connection… that I was his mate.”Everyone fell silent as Isabella narrated her ordeal with Athelstan.“I didn’t want to sound rude, so I just told him that I wasn’t ready for that, I also emphasized that I was a fresher. “What the hell, that was so gruesome.”“She would have just targeted the eyes.”“I hate to be that beast.”“I think it was Oliver that killed the beast.”The students had a lot of opinions about the fight, especially the ghastly death of the monster. Many were surprised by the unorthodox method I chose, to kill the monster. But I didn’t really care about that, I was just glad it was over.“That was a good one… wouldn’t you agree with me, class?”It seemed mica had a few things to say as she got up to her feet.“Agree with you? We almost died Ser, this was definitely beyond a Ravage tier monster.”“Yes. It most certainly was. For those of you looking to work for the guilds and become adventurers, do you think you’ll decide the tier of the monster you’ll encounter while in there? Werewolves have only covered fifteen percent of the Elshire forest, with so many mysterious and unknown creatures yet to be discovered.”He paused, his gaze turned to me suddenly, it was as though he was tryin

“Oliver, it's right behind you!” I screamed out, to Oliver. He jumped up avoiding the strike to the leg delivered by the giant spider.Just minutes ago we had discussed our strengths to devise ways to end it quickly. Oliver and Benjamin were placed as our offensives considering they were stronger.“I want to be on the offensive too.” I said out loud, deciding not to be quiet.“What? You wanna get yourself killed?” Benjamin replied, his eyes seemed to be weighing me. “Besides, we will really need you guys to back us up on the defensive.” He added.“Thelma, be on the look out for the weak spot, you might notice while we are attacking.” Oliver said, releasing what looked like a trident. It wasn’t a lycan weapon but I could tell it was lethal. The spider had already revealed itself fully now. It was tall, reaching half the height of the colosseum. “Woahh!” Mica exclaimed, dodging a web that came from its mouth. It roared in anger, going straight for her again. Oliver rushed in with his

“What did you just say?” Daniel replied with a raised brow.“I mean… I don’t know if I’m strong enough to take him out.”“That is your problem. Do not disappoint the alpha.”“What if I get killed or caught doing this task?”“Then you should be proud of dying for your Alpha. But if you get caught, you know better than to mention his involvement in it. I wish you the best of luck child, try not to die yet. You interest me.” He replied heading to the stairway.Great, now I’m tasked to kill an innocent person. I can’t do that. It just makes me part of the system I fight against. I didn’t want to follow the stairway so I used the balcony again, bringing myself all the way down. Jumping and sliding down different platforms till I was back in the hallway I took off from earlier.I just had a few minutes more before my lecture, I sprinted as fast as I could, I left the castle grounds in seconds, the lecture wasn’t held in one of the many spaces in the school, rather it was held in the school
