Despite their numbers, the witches were no match for our teamwork. As the last witch fell, we regrouped near the altar. “What now?” Marcus asked, wiping blood from his sword. “We search for clues,” Lola said, her gaze sweeping over the chamber. A Grim Discovery As we searched the chamber, I found a scroll tucked into a crevice in the wall. The parchment was old, its edges frayed, but the writing was clear.

Helena peeked over his shoulder to stare at the stove and walls covered in the soup she had been cooking. "My powers have been wonky since..." She stopped when the memory of what she had done popped up alongside pain-filled screams and the wet feel of blood covering her from head to toe.

With the empress's orders, the book was taken under intense study. The witch that handled the research was a very skilled one. She took months researching the book and we were all in hopes that the new spell book could be a way to enhance our powers.

I told her what the guys found in the hide of the witch Gloria and her surprise was one of them that was on the cells. “ Mother” She whispered.

They had books that were passed down from generations, teaching them to make potions. They read directions out of a book, mixed some things together, said a few words, and poof the outcome is a potion. They had no sort of immediate defense once their potions were gone because they had to prepare them days in advance.

Saying this, Merga left the woman's hand and went back to her bag, placing clothes in it. The other witches began to pack quickly with fear written on their faces. Each one of them held their children, ordering them to fill as well. Mother Elanor did the same, her bag in her hand. A few minutes later, the sound of running horses came closer to the house. Each witch glanced at each other with panic written on their faces.

Then, a commotion broke out outside the ICU. "Ms. Bennett! Ms. Bennett!" It was her assistant. "We found out what really happened seven years ago. All the evidence is here." The assistant handed her a tablet. Sherry took it and began scrolling. With every passing second, the color drained from her face. "No…" Her fingers tightened around the tablet. "That's impossible."
