Ruben shook his hands, honored that Alpha came to escort them himself in his signature white suit. “I have my ways Mr De Vries.” Alpha replied, his eyes dropped down to the kids standing by the side. One cold and aloof, the other as friendly as a golden retriever. “Hi uncle.” Luke smiled brightly as soon as he caught Alpha’s eyes on him. Luuk nodded in greetings. Alpha wasn’t good with children, he flashed them a friendly smile and took out two lollipops from his pocket. Luke glanced at Ruben who nodded in approval while Luuk didn’t even take a single glance at the death inducing stick stretched in front of him.

His words were directed at me, though. "What has got you so occupied like this? Surely, it is not pack business, right?" He is also the son of the Alpha of a nearby pack, basically making him the future Alpha. But Luke, being well, Luke, is not that enthusiastic to take on the position. I think he is the only person I know who is not into the position of becoming an Alpha and would much rather waste his years away being carefree and nonchalant.

One of them came to Alpha Jones. "Let's go" the voice sounded so much like Luke's "Luke?" Alpha Jones asked. "Yes,we are leaving" he helped him up. Alpha Jones looked around. There were dead bodies around. They have been killed by the Prika. He saw the first Alpha writhing in pains on the ground. "We need to help him too" Alpha Jones pointed to the first Alpha. "The first Alpha of the fourth wing?" Luke surely recognized him. "He is a friend, a good man" Alpha Jones kept muttering as Luke helped him out of the wing.

Luke’s voice got softer as he spoke. “What exactly happened, huh? For you to have such a heavy grudge.” Nina asked. This was the real part that bothered her. She wondered what could have led to Luke’s hatred toward his cousin. “….I wanted to be Alpha.” Luke finally said it. He had a self deprecating smile on his face, He saw the shocked look on both Nina and Lyra’s faces. He looked down at his bandaged hands and slowly started to narrate his story.

He was handsome, with sandy blond hair and bright green eyes that sparkled with kindness. “Welcome, travelers,” he said, his voice smooth and inviting. “I am Alpha Luke. I’ve been informed of your arrival and your request for the Blue Ridge amulet.” “Thank you for seeing us, Alpha,” I said, stepping forward. “We come seeking your support in uniting our packs against a growing darkness.” Luke regarded me thoughtfully. “I’ve heard whispers of this darkness, and I admire your courage in seeking the amulets. However, I must know your intentions. What do you hope to achieve with the amulet?”

Though I was made to believe that wolves are cruel, this guys have been nothing but good to me. "Do you know all the alphas whose allegiance is with the dark lord?" Alpha Luke asks. "Yes alpha. I know them all."

On the other hand, Martin somehow came to the same conclusion for Alpha Luke, Layal's father, who is a great leader for his pack. He has met many Alphas before, but Alpha Luke is the first to make him admire them. He never saw any Alpha like Alpha Luke, who did not hesitate to show a gentle side of himself in front of other Alphas. Alpha Luke gave him a fatherly nature aura with the brightest side.

Waverly smiled brightly at him. "I will. What's your name?" Luke asked her smile, catching his eye. "Waverly. I am acting Beta for Alpha Aldric." Waverly said, holding out her hand. "Luke Beta as well. Cool to see a female in the role. Looking forward to working for you, " Luke said, shaking her hand firmly. "You as well." Waverly smiled back. "Well I'll leave you guys to it. I'll be back by this evening to check in." Luke said with a nod heading to the door.

“For a while, I’ve wanted something badly, without actually realizing I’ve wanted that. And yesterday… for a moment, I thought… I have it. That it’s real. It’s true. Tell me, is it true?” A smile spreads across Melony’s face but it fades away just as soon. “Have you ever heard of an alpha being able to telepathically communicate with the beta of another pack? Only an alpha can communicate with members of his pack. But,” she pauses, looking away. “Do you know who else can communicate through minds despite not sharing a pack?” For a moment her words seem too good to be true. But I know that they make complete sense. My heart begins racing in my chest and I feel breathless all at the same time.
