The Sickened Luna's Last Chance

The Sickened Luna's Last Chance

I asked. Anya prattled off a list of things we should do to prepare. I was exhausted after staying up all night reading, but the thought of running and weight lifting was actually kind of a welcome distraction. Lucien was currently down for his midday nap, so I agreed to change and meet Anya in the forest behind the estate for a run. After changing, I headed out there, grateful for the cool mist in the chilly late autumn air. It was soothing. Anya set a quick pace for our run, full of energy and excitement. I tried to keep up, although my tired legs struggled to keep me upright and my mind kept wandering back to my curse research, so I kept lagging behin\d.

Perer Ford: Diary of a Stranger

Perer Ford: Diary of a Stranger

Several times, I have ran hysterically through the valley of darkness with hands above my head. I have ran with no sense of direction just survival instincts flooding my mind. Most experts would call me crazy for running with zero destination in mind but sometimes in life, people just run to relieve themselves from stress; to gain freedom from a bondage they can only escape from by running. Also, against most reasonable accounts, people run to be far away from the world and be lost in their own silence.

Bloodbound Destiny

Bloodbound Destiny

“If you can run, you can fight. Go. Not allowing myself time to think about it, I launched into a sprint, my shield bouncing on my back. Each stride felt like razors piercing my feet but I disregarded the pain and pushed for greater speed, focused on finding flat ground so that I wouldn’t stumble. I could do this. I had to.

Andronika's story touches the heart! Torn between her duty to see to the comfort of her family and the need to seek her own happiness, she is thrust into danger: fight to the death with a godlike warrior. In the face of death, she took her destiny and in her hands and fought! This is a great story!

I think author Lorene is charming. This is her first book am reading though, but the way she introduced the characters: Carspey, Andronika, Tristan, Derek, Orion—its all too fascinating. Am still reading, but Andronika already deserves my Oscar award for raising her weapons onto Tristan...

Suppressed Memories

Suppressed Memories

Kioni Turner I ran as fast as my feet could take me. I was tired and afraid, but I had to keep going. Everything happened so fast in my head. Where should I go and who will help me now? The only thing that was on my mind was to run. Come on, Ki, just a few more blocks. Don’t let them catch you. You are not a runner, but today you run. That is all I kept thinking in my head. Run as fast as you can. Don't stop. Don't look back. Get as far away as possible because if they catch you, it's all over.

Run.

Run.

I run. It’s just who I am. Whenever things get tough, I bail. Every new situation I find myself in, I have an exit strategy. Because I know what could happen if I don’t. Things are about to get bad, and I don’t understand how or why. I’m in a new place, with no pre-existing connections. I’ve developed a life for myself where no one could suspect a thing out of the ordinary. I fit in - or at least try to. But here I am, ready to run.

This story was absolutely amazing! So many emotions. I do have a question, will there be a continued story about nazte and cen? I just feel like they should have a story about starting over/forgiveness.

This book had me on the verge of anger, laughter, intrigue, sadness and long last releasing a breath of relief and joy. Beautifully woven into this wonderful story was a great understanding of human behavior through a myriad of emotions that kept me reading on until the end.
