Cadma ended up dressing up in a woman's costume that made her look naked with big boobs. The costume was super tight on Cadma, and the pants were on the upper part of his knees. It was so hilarious that I couldn't stop laughing. Looking over at the little old ladies they looked so sad as Cadma’s bum was no longer on display, or at least not his male bum. He is now in a woman’s costume. I headed over to the pub not caring that I was dressed as my nemesis.

The first costume was a short net gown paired with a black, body-fitting pants-trouser. For the men, it was a net singlet and short black pants. We got dressed immediately. Just as we were about to head out, Leo stopped me, worry etched across his face.

His gaze landed on a life-sized cowboy costume displayed near the dressing rooms. It featured a weathered brown leather duster that reached below the knees, matching chaps fastened over denim trousers, heavy cowboy boots with silver spurs, and a broad leather belt fitted with an oversized brass buckle.

They all laughed again, causing Carl to recoil behind my legs. “I’m not scared,” Carl said, barely above a whisper. “I just don’t like ponies.” Leo was standing with his arms crossed over his chest. In their place clung a long, heavy cloak, ink-dark and gleaming at the seams. He froze mid-step, spinning toward me with eyes blown wide, before dragging his gaze down his body. “Holy shit, Charlie—are you seeing this?” My throat went dry, but I still managed a shaky laugh. “You stripped and changed clothes in half a second?”

Carter glanced over. “What's that?” “We should get you one of those fake mustaches,” I said, laughing. “That way people won't recognize you.” “That's a great idea,” he said jokingly. “How about one of the ones that has the mustache, but also the giant nose with the black-rimmed glasses? That will definitely fool people.” “Now we're talking,” I said, squeezing his hand. “If we combine that with your cowboy flannel shirt and tight jeans that you wore a couple of weeks ago, you'll practically be invisible in public. People will think you're just a run-of-the-mill, average Joe.”

I put him down and captured his pose using my phone’s camera. He stuck out his tongue. “I want to see my friends' costumes.” He said and reached for my hand. I let him pull me out of his room. We bumped into Carlo and his dog. He’s dressed up as Batman. His dog has a black bow tie and a red cape. “The magicians are here!” Carlo looked very excited. “Nanny Jean please take a picture of us.” I handed my phone to Calvin’s Nanny. “Okay. Smile guys.” Nanny Jean said and took some shots of us.
