Damian asked softly, dangerously, his tone more chilling than if he had shouted.
The man nodded furiously, tears streaming, snot mixing with blood. “Y-yes, Boss, please—I’ll disappear, I swear—”
Damian smiled coldly. “Exactly. You’ll disappear.”
And then he pulled the trigger.
The man collapsed, lifeless.
Silence fell like a heavy shroud.
The warehouse reeked of blood, sweat, and gunpowder. Damian stood over the corpses, calm, composed. His hands were steady, his breathing even, as though he had merely signed a paper.
