As I stirred the chocolate drink and placed muffins on a plate, Dulce entered the kitchen. She was smiling knowingly, her eyes glimmering as if she had seen something I didn’t want anyone to notice.
“Nakakatuwa, ang saya-saya ng mag-ama,” she said, her tone holding something deeper, something suggestive.
I simply smiled at her comment, not daring to entertain the thought she was hinting at.
Not long after, Aaron and Azi came in, both freshly bathed. Their hair was damp, their shirts clean, but their laughter still lingered in the room like sunshine.
