She could feel the walls closing in, the weight of her situation pressing down on her.
Hades leaned closer, his face inches from hers, and whispered, "Oh, but I can. And I will." The menace in his voice sent chills down her spine, and she turned her head away, not wanting to give him the satisfaction of seeing her fear.
Yet, beneath the terror, a flicker of defiance ignited within her. She would not let him break her spirit, even as the darkness closed in around her. Summoning every ounce of courage, she locked her gaze onto his, refusing to look away.
