Just seeing his name immediately improved my mood. Which felt unfair. One text message shouldn't have that kind of power. Yet somehow it did. I opened the message. "How's your day?" I laughed out loud. The timing was incredible. I immediately replied. "Define disaster." The response came almost instantly. "That bad?" "Worse." Several dots appeared. Then: "Want to grab a drink after work?" I stared at the message. Normally, the answer would have been yes. Absolutely yes. But today? Today felt different.

With all those memories by my side I was missing the person who gifted me all of it. 'Ting'..it was my mobile SMS tune... Message?...I opened my eyes in anticipation. Extending my hand picking up the mobile phone from the side table, I pondered who might have messaged me. On the screen it flashed...Mr Rude...in the bottom line message was inscribed. A smile flashed on my face seeing his name flashing on my screen. It reads... "I am having fun." Reading this short and crisp message all of the smile featuring on my lips got eroded and reading this text made me angrier upon him, why does he need to tell me that he is having fun.

I spread on my bed after getting rid of my shoes and stared at the screen to see who was so restless to send twenty text messages to me in just a few hours. Scrolling down, I saw Scar's voice messages, with many emojis, asking me how I was, get well soon, sorry, etc. It was common for us. I am used to getting stupid texts.
