One book practically calls to me. “The First Wolves.” It might not mention magic directly, but something about it hums against my skin. Another title catches my eye: “The Ancient History of Werewolves and Witches.” Yes. This one. Without hesitation, I slip them into my bag. I can’t risk checking them out, not with a record that can be traced. Just as I’m about to leave the aisle, I hear voices. I freeze. “She’s definitely not going to survive it,” says a woman.

I have read a few of these books. Shaking away the strange icy feeling I flip open the cover and start to read. The sun has started sinking, the sky painted with hues of purple, orange, and red. This is truly my favorite time of day. The book was short but there was a lot of information on werewolves. Information, what do I mean, werewolves don't exist. Or do they? It is that voice again. The same one from this morning. A voice that isn’t mine. A voice inside my head.

I got up from the bed and walked around the room, still no pain, how weird. I noticed the bookshelf and decided to take a look. There were so many books, some with older worn covers and others a bit more newer looking. I picked up a small red book and read the cover ‘A Lycanthropy Reader; WEREWOLVES IN WESTERN CULTURE’. I flicked through the pages and put it back on the shelf, a little too intense for some early morning reading. I picked up another one and read the cover, ‘The Garden of Eden’ by Ernest Hemingway. Not what I expected from a teenage werewolf soon-to-be-Alpha. I put it back and my eyes fell on a really older looking book. I pulled it out and it was big and very heavy. It looked

I didn’t try to get the scene behind my eyes like I usually try to, I let it play again this time, relieving when the kiss happened, sleep welcomed me without me knowing. I saw a wolf, a huge black wolf. I looked around trying to figure out where I was but all I could see was a maze of trees, my heart thundered. My mom was a doctor who was skilled in making drugs and she amongst others in her scientific department were skilled in making werewolf portions, vampire serum, and even had replicate of DNA gotten from Lyncans and witches. It wasn't hard at all for the pack to conclude that I was just a mutation and my parents kept it that way because it was dangerous being hybrid!! I never felt different and only knew more about myself from the old books in the library. My parents kept me away from reading those historical books from an early age but as I grew

Chapter Thirty-eight. Diana's pov The history section was just as large as any other section, and just as dusty. I swiped my hands over the books not knowing which one to go through first, I decided to just pick a random book. “THE SERVANTS OF THE MOON GODDESS,” the title read, the book contained werewolves and how they were meant to serve the moon goddess, that's to say we had definitely lost history because no one did these things anymore.
