I don’t think I’m going to get any more tonight. The best thing to do is going to be to just leave this city. I know that. My pack is never going to stop hunting me. Except, where would I go? I know there’s a whole big world out there, but I don’t know where anything is, and I don’t know what any of it is like. It could be that every other remnant of a city is completely overrun by Moon Casters, or even by Ravagers. It could be that feral wolves dominate the land between here and the next city.

He replied. I smiled, “Smart man. Well it was good to meet you, I am headed to Maine and I have three hours still to drive so I better get going.” I said. “It was good to finally meet you in person, Snow. You are every bit as beautiful as they say, if not more.” Shane replied. “Thank you.” I said and flashed him a million dollar smile while walking out the door. Hunters were connected through a vast network and it wasn’t uncommon to run into each other out and about. Still, it gets me when they know my name and I've never seen them before. In all these years it still surprises me.

The place had become a graveyard. He had done it alone. He had already begun the massacre. Kieran stopped, his blood running cold. They were too late. The Hunter was back, and he was hungry.

“A human?” “Not just a human.” I stepped forward, keeping the knife between us. “A hunter.” His lips curled into a sneer as he took a step toward me, his movements slow and deliberate. “You must be Riley’s pet.” His eyes raked over me, his grin widening. “I can smell him all over you. Leave it to Riley to fuck up this bad. A human? And not just any human—a hunter?” He barked a laugh. “Call it off.” My voice was steady, though every muscle in my body was coiled tight. “Whatever you’re planning to do to him, end it. I heard you, Liam. You killed Marcus, not Riley.”

” Jonathan asked, walking in with a cup of coffee in one hand and his tablet in the other. “A hunter has been spotted in our territory.” I stated. Both froze, eyes wide. If not for werewolf reflexes, I’m pretty sure Jonathan’s coffee and tablet would have crashed to the floor. “A… a hunter? There hasn’t been one in decades. How can we be sure they are a hunter? Who reported them?” Charles immediately questioned. “Because I’m the one that reported them. Sakina Adio is currently staying in the Hampton Inn in Eugene. The Adio family are rather notorious hunters though mostly based in Egypt.” I explained.

Kai got up from his couch and walked up to Hunter "So you are Hunter huh". Hunter nodded "Yeah and I guess you are the twin of Kiera right". Kai smirked "Clever!, I've heard a lot about you from my cousin Sydney...by the way am Kai". Hunter cocked his head "Ahh...that must mean that i am very good" He stretched forth his hand for a handshake "It's nice meeting you Kai".

“Katerina! Shit.” The last thing I see is Hunter killing rogue after rogue.

The footsteps were familiar, even before I turned around. “Kai,” I said, not bothering to look at him. “We have a problem,” he said, his voice tight. I finally turned to face him. Kai’s face was lined with tension, and his jaw set in that grim way that told me whatever news he brought was worse than usual. I raised an eyebrow, waiting. “The shadow hunters,” he continued, “they’re moving into the lower cities. Faster than they have ever done.”

The camera man was rolling his camera. The person tending to Mr. Hamuumbu was dragged from behind finding himself in the flowers. Everyone turned their heads in Mr. Hamuumbu’s direction, Kate too. She smiled seeing Hunter in an all-black suit kneeling down before Mr. Hamuumbu. “This is your time to come clean,” Hunter whispered in his ears. Mr. Hamuumbu didn’t move. Hunter removed a knife from his pocket. Everyone watched in awe. Hunter then stabbed Mr. Hamuumbu in the thigh making him scream insults at Hunter.
