Melati harus pasrah akan keputusan kedua orang tuanya untuk menjadikan dirinya istri salah satu orang terkaya di kota. Kedua orangtuanya, memiliki hutang yang cukup besar. Dengan berat hati dia menerima semuanya, toh selama ini dirinya hanya di anggap pembantu di rumah tersebut. Sejak pernikahan kedua Ayahnya, dia tidak pernah memiliki kehidupan yang layak.
