I asked curiously. "You'll need it to seduce a man. And you'll also need this." She closed her eyes again, generating a piece of lingerie.

My mood darkened as soon as I recognized Taryn's handwriting. Fantastic. A letter. Apparently, flowers were insufficient. I considered discarding it right away. I nearly did, in fact. He would find a way to get here. To distract herself from her worries, Lila decided to explore the cabin. She climbed the narrow staircase to the loft, which turned out to be a single, small room with a low ceiling. A simple bed was tucked into one corner, covered with a thick, woolen blanket. A small wooden chest sat at the foot of the bed, and a bookshelf lined one wall, filled with old, leather-bound books. Lila ran her fingers along the spines of the books, her eyes scanning the titles. They were primarily focused on folklore, mythology, and ancient history. There were also a few books on magic and the occult, their pages filled with strange symbols and diagrams.
