"Ladies and gentlemen, thank you for accepting my call and coming to make this day a success. My name is Lucien Hart and I am from the Hart family. I will be contesting for mayor and I ask for your support. I know that you have a lot of questions, and I will be answering all your questions today, so use this opportunity wisely because it might not come easy again! The reason I want to become mayor is simple. Someone once had a big dream for this city. A dream that was never fulfilled. He bestowed me the honor of fulfilling his dream and serving the people of city N and that is what I am about to do.

I looked down and it confirmed what I thought. “That’s nasty, dude,” Nik said. “But also incredibly funny.” Yeah, the mayor of New York City just wet his pants. “Please, don’t kill me. I promise I’ll turn on them. I can still be an asset to you,” he begged frantically. “You know what, Mr. Mayor. I had big plans for you. I was going to torture you to the point where you had to beg for death because you preferred that over the suffering but I’m in a pretty good mood so I’ll show mercy,” I said.

He does own the place, he’s every bit the mayor he was elected to be. “I’m happy to see you, we should have dinner. You and I really do need to talk business.” The mayor says smiling at Simon. Simon takes back his hand and takes mine; he even takes a step back from the mayor. I look at the both of them confused. What’s going on with these two/ is the mayor trying to recruit Simon into something illegal? Why is he so standoffish?

They couldn't believe the daughter they were so proud of would do something so… filthy and immoral. George was shaking in rage. When the minutes were finished, the secretary handed the meeting back over to the mayor, a middle-aged man with sad blonde combover and a slight paunch. Although he was the duly elected mayor of the good town of McFall, his actual vocation was real estate. He banged a small wooden gavel on the counter in front of him. "Now that the minutes are taken care of, is there any new business?"

He’d certainly enjoyed the way she snuggled closer every time the maniac shark ate up another clueless swimmer. But the thing that really struck him in that movie was the mayor. Everyone in town acted like the mayor was just heartless, letting people go swimming when there was a giant shark gobbling up anyone that strayed into its path. But Touhy understood that character. The mayor of Amity was just trying to make sure his people survived. He wasn’t heartless. He was thinking about the greater good, and the greater good meant a few swimmers might end up digesting in a monster’s belly for the sake of the rest of the town. He hurried away quickly, practically running toward the kitchen. Amanda took a long sip of the stolen champagne, completely unbothered by what she'd just done. This was completely normal behavior for her! People existed to serve her needs! That's just how the world worked when you came from money! Meanwhile, Derek was just about to call out to Maxwell when something unexpected happened. The mayor had just approached Maxwell's table! Derek stopped dead in his tracks, watching in complete shock as Mayor Thomas Harrison, one of the most powerful and influential men in the entire city, walked straight to the shoe thief with a genuinely warm smile and extended his hand for a handshake!

His voice was deeper now, clear and intimidating. "Sir, I… I… it… it'll be ready by tomorrow, sir" the Mayor stammered, bowing his head to the ground, avoiding the man's face. "So the mayor's name is Guano, huh? I never knew," Abigail said and giggled and it made the leaves creak. "Shut up," I whimpered. God! She was going to get us caught and it wasn't going to be good. I'm sure of it because whatever this meeting was about, we were never supposed to be here in the first place.

CHAPTER 104: AT THE MAYOR'S OFFICE KAELAN: I sat at the mayor’s office, and tapped my feet gently on the floor. I wasn't happy at all and the mayor knew it. Mayor Thompson’s face looked pale and his hands seemed to tremble. He looked much older today, and I wondered why. “Kaelan,” he said, his voice barely a whisper. “To what do I owe this visit? I hope there's no problem?” “Yes, Mayor.” I growled. “There’s a problem. We had an understanding that you would keep your human hounds out of our affairs, and we would keep our claws off your precious Sun City. It seems you’ve forgotten your end of the bargain.”

"I will be back." He turned away, and slowly made his way to the man. "You wanted to see me?" The man nodded. "Good afternoon, Mayor. There is something I need to show you." Elijah gauged the man. "Is it related to this case?" The man nodded. "It is even worse." Elijah couldn't help flinching. What could be worse than a bunch of human bones? "Let me see it then." Elijah followed the man, taking two police officers and a police photographer with him. If it was related to the case, he didn't need to see it alone.
