It was deep and masculine. I turned slightly to see a man, perhaps in his late forties, with salt and pepper hair and a goatee. He had deep-set, piercing dark eyes that any woman would find overly attractive, well, not me. I had a thing for blue eyes. A blue certain eyes that didn't even want me. "What's your name, angel? You caught my attention the moment you walked into the room with your friend." he smiled warmly at me, "You're gorgeous." I raised my brows at him. Was that it? His attempt to flirt with me. That was lame. It was the weirdest pick-up line I had ever heard, and it did nothing for me.

What the actual fuck? “Hey gorgeous,” the blonde coos. Mavy mumbles something incoherently as she stares up at him. “Did it hurt? When you fell from the Moon Goddesses arms?” He asked. If I wasn’t so scared I would have thrown up in my mouth from the corny pickup line. I take a step toward him, intent on taking Mavy from him, but he wraps his other arm around her neck. I say quoting a line from the movie Queen Charlotte. Nico gives me a side eye and my morale of using pick up lines on him dies. "Oh sorry. Was I supposed to blush or something?" He asks faking confusion and I raise my eyes to look at him with pain in my eyes. "Why would you do such a thing to me? I thought you love me" I say clearly pained. I said and she looked at me in confusion and burst out laughing clutching her stomach. "Is that a pickup line? If it is then you suck at it." She said still laughing. If I said a pickup line then girls will come and form a queue now. I just said it to make you laugh and it worked. That's what I want to see, a beautiful smile on your beautiful face. "Laugh at me all you want. But you are coming with me and that's it." I picked her up from there in a bridal style and started walking towards the exit ignoring her attempts of punching me to leave her.

She wasn’t in the mood to talk to anyone. "So where have you been all this while? I had to stop my G****e search because I found the one I was searching for." Mary eyed him. "That shit doesn’t work anymore." She frowned, annoyed at the pick-up line. Drunk Mary was definitely unfiltered and swore a lot. "But you smiled." How strange to feel it now with this man I didn’t know. “Hi, I’m Aidan, but you can call me tonight or tomorrow.” He smiled, introducing himself with a lame pickup line. “Seriously? That’s your pickup line?” I laughed. He laughed too, and well fuck me, that sound woke my pussy. How can a hot guy with an accent like that be here and single? I could understand if he was supernatural, especially a werewolf. A human-looking this good and being single? Something must be wrong with him. Likely, he’s a player.

I shot him a sideways smirk, letting a hint of disdain creep into my voice. His smile faltered, “I just thought you looked like you could use some company.” “Really? Her hair loosened and treated to show those beautiful curls she loved, the camera lighting made the lip gloss she applied on her lips to glow. She looked breathtaking in that picture. Finally deciding to open the message, Janet tapped on it, watching as the message filled her entire screen. XXX XXXX XXXX : I don't really want to disturb you, but, what's phase transition? Huh? The heck? That was a pick up line she had never seen before, was he a geek trying to pick her up or what? Janet scoffed at the message, eyeing it in confusion.

He blabbered on telling how might he need it for knowing how his sister was doing. Natalie knew that was not it, but there was no harm either. She took the phone from his hand, as their fingers touched Tyler was feeling giddy like a schoolgirl with her crush. Natalie typed her number and gave him his phone back with a soft smile. "Here" "Thanks, Natalie. Bye." He smiled back, resisting his urge to hug her. Natalie smiled and walked away while Tyler stood there thinking about what to text her later. He needed to get the best pickup line in the history of pickup lines.
