I wanted Valentine to see the shadow of the man he’d tried to cross. Valentine looked up first. A small, knowing smile played on his lips. He didn't look surprised. He looked like he’d been waiting for the show to begin.

The bright smile on my face froze faster than water outside the harsh winter. I tried to inhale and it sounded like a weak doorknob rattling in my throat. Anslem. He answered. “Oh,” Valerie sat upright, “So, you’re Romeo?” She asked. “Alexei, not Romeo,” he answered as calmly as he could, he knew Valerie was only testing him, “but, as cheesy as this may sound, I kinda want to be the Romeo to your Juliet.” He added and Valerie bursted out laughing. “That’s really funny.” She snickered between laughs. “I wasn’t trying to be funny, but, I could be anything for you.” He added, making her laugh the more.

Ruby smiled and started helping Valerie get ready before they left. Ruby played music from one of the singers famous for his romantic song Photography_Ed Sheeran which became the song that accompanied their journey. Hopefully, what Ruby was doing would ease Valerie's sadness. One verse of Ed Sheeran's lyrics made Valerie feel sober. I was done writing the notes with the help of my friends, excluding Emmanuel, obviously. I had to be updated on the previous notes. We still didn't get along and I wasn't in any way bothered.
