I licked my lips and leaned back in my seat, i warily eyed his moves before i dropped my other question, "Have you ever gone on a date?" He looked at me as if I grew another head, "What?" My eyes widened a bit, "Oh ! You don't know what a date is? My bad sorry." I tried to explain, "You know it is when two people who like each other go out and have fun-" I should stop before he actually loses his mind and kill me. I pursed my lips as if thinking it through, "How can I explain this to you now?" He raked his fingers through his hair and mumbled incoherent words under his breath before he suspiciously asked, "What's with all these questions now?"

I explained. “Hmm. Nice. Haven’t been to a Shakespeare in the park style play.” she nodded. “I’ll have to check when they are performing next and buy tickets then.” I smiled. “Planning a second date?” she arched an eyebrow. “Perhaps. Is it an activity you’d be interested in?” I asked as we continued walking. “Maybe. Though I think we have more pressing things to focus on than second dates.” she sighed.

"I don't know. I still feel sad about it. No matter how hard I try to understand it." I could sense him looking at me while I'm eating. But I still couldn't help but get sad about it. Imagine, I got so excited about it that I've been checking my phone to see if he messaged me or not. Then it ended up like this. Neil wouldn't understand me anyway. "What do you usually want to do on a date?” he asked. I don’t even know if that’s necessary to our topic or he just wants something to talk about. “I honestly don’t know. What do people usually do on a date?”

I didn’t expect him to say that either. “I don’t know. Do you usually feel like kissing other girls on a second date?” I ask and he smiles staring at me. I look back at him wondering why I’m really on this date with him. I know I like him and I enjoy his company. But why am I really here? Am I here because I want friendship or I want to date him? The idea of kissing him brings up so many questions. Do I want to be intimate with him like that? It feels like I would be crossing a line I won’t be able to get back to. I don’t want to lead him on when I’m not sure.

Do you think there’s gonna be a second date?” Sophia hesitated. “I mean… he kinda asked.” Mia bolted upright. “HE ASKED?” Sophia nodded.

She scold. I laugh. Too cute. "Do you have any idea what you do on dates?" I ask again. "Yes Grey Grey I do." She said sarcastically. "Of course I don't! It's not like I went on dates." "Thank the fuck for that." I murmur quietly. "Did you say something?" I shakes my head no. "What do you do on dates?" She ask. "Normally, they go to watch movies, eat or stroll?" I'm really not sure myself.

She beamed at me expectantly. "There isn't much to say. We just went out, had dinner, and talked." I shrugged and she kept staring at me as though she was waiting for me to say more. "What? That was all that happened," I told her and she let out a sigh. Was that...relief I saw in her eyes? "Is there going to be a second date?" She inquired. "You are curious this morning," I offered an awkward chuckle. "You are right, sorry. I should probably let you rest," she muttered as she made her way to the door and I was left staring after her dumbfounded.

I refuse to let that happen. She hasn’t even touched her food yet. I am waiting on her to come back before I dig into mine again, although I’m not sure if I can eat if I’ve upset her. This isn’t how I pictured this date going. The next one will be better. I will make sure of it. Maybe no heavy topics next time, but I want to get to know the core of who she is. I want to know every little thing about her. What makes her tick, what is her favorite color, does she have any other family? What thoughts keep her up at night, what is her favorite type of music, and what is her favorite song? What turns her on? I want to know everything about this girl.
