You Should Have Killed Me When You Had The Chance Novels & Stories

"She has to learn her place." That was the last word he said before ordering his men to carry me away. My chest clenched as regret clawed at me. Why didn't I pull the trigger when I had the chance? I could have ended him; I had the opportunity, but I couldn't. Why? As they drew me away, I could hear the gunshot. The innocent man's face, the one who had begged me before, and the tears in his eyes replayed themselves, as did Lucian's, who acted as if killing people was his everyday routine, his sanity taken away long ago.

I should have thought all that through! I should have fought harder to suffocate her in her sleep when she was a baby! I should have poisoned her, drowned her, something…anything so far she ended up dead! My biggest mistake was not trying hard to make sure she died when she was an infant. My biggest mistake was giving her the chance to grow up and become much more difficult to kill. “I should have killed you when I had the chance to!” I yelled at her. She had stayed strong, Kiara did not shed a drop of tears even with the hard slaps but that single statement seemed to break her completely.

Yeah, how would you know it would turn out this way when she nearly got me killed? "There's no need to lie about it; I've always known you wanted me dead. The reason why you haven't killed me is that you haven't gotten the chance. I gave you a chance, and you didn't even hesitate to pull the trigger on me." I raise my other palm to show my bleeding shoulder.

"non avresti dovuto ucciderlo. avrebbe dovuto essere torturato primae poi implorarci per la sua stessa morte," {"He wasn't meant to die just yet.”} {"You shouldn't have killed him. He should've been tortured first and then begged us for his death. "} Chase stopped in his tracks and turned to Lucas. “He was going to take her away," Lucas scoffed. “That didn't mean you should have killed him. Nothing like this has ever happened in this empire. When people betray you, Don, you torture them and make them beg for their death. Not give them peace by killing them immediately,"

"I can't wait to rip you to shreds. I am going to enjoy every second of your death." "It's funny you think you'll ever be given the chance to kill me. You're strapped to a table at my mercy. You will leave this table dead or mated to me. It's your choice which one it is." Another knife in my bicep this time. I expected it so I was able to stop myself from reacting.

He looked down at the blade, then back at me like he couldn’t believe it. “You tried to kill me, Darren. I wanted to give you a chance. Rot in hell.”

Something akin to uneasiness flashed in his eyes but he quickly concealed it with a cocky smile, "Do tell," "Jessica." I said simply, resting my back against the chair. He eyed me carefully, a muscle on his cheek twitching, "You should've killed her when you had the chance," I tried not to flinch at the cold tone in his voice, "That would at least save her from the embrassment of losing to you."

My hand shook under the table. “Why should I feel sorry when they would have killed me first if they had the chance?” “You killed people and made families cry,” I said pointedly, wanting him to see the errors of his ways. He looked at me, confused like what I said was not making sense. “What did you expect me to do? Let them kill me instead? There’s no one I killed that didn’t deserve it; they would have killed me if they had the chance.” My eyes shut at his words. There’s no one I killed that didn’t deserve it.

“Please, don't kill me, I'll tell you everything you need to know.” “I already know everything.” The man chuckled dryly and he pulled the trigger. I stumbled backwards, all of a sudden, I felt like I needed to survive tonight. I rushed to my car and I was thankful for its speed.

“Just get me out of this stupid mess… or I'll kill you.” Scott growled, taking his hand off my shoulder, “Here you go again… that's why it's not totally impossible you killed that man.”
