Mag-log in“Dek, tolong catat semua hadiah yang udah aku kasih ke kamu. Bonnya ada di tasku!” “Catat lagi?”
view moreKayla looked at the ancient looking building in front of her as her nerves got the best of her. Her heart was beating wilding like it was going to jump out of her chest.
People were glancing at her left and right, and she knew why, her eyes. She has heterochromia, but her eyes were not the usual heterochromia mix, like blue and green or brown and a more natural colour. One of her eyes was silver, almost light in colour that her eyeball looked completely white. Her other eye was a light violet in colour. The colours of her eyes contrast against her brown skin, making them stand out the more. She always make use of glasses to tone down the colour but it is still noticeable. She brushed her hair to cover her face, her hair was a natural virgin hair that sat full and large on her head making her look smaller. Kayla always love music and learnt to play a lot of instruments by herself in a music store close to the orphanage where she grew up. That is why she always wanted to study music, and she got to study a double major, music and creative writing. Kayla was so happy to be out of the orphanage, she was always bullied for her look and sometimes could hardly eat until when she clocked twelve and began to work in that music store, even though she was too young to work, the old man pitied her because he knew how life at her orphanage was and paid her enough to eat. The only people that did not maltreat her at the orphanage was one of the matron, Miss Glinda and a boy who was about five years older than her. Unfortunately, Miss Glinda passed away, leaving her with Toby. That is where her anxiety and trauma comes in, Toby was more like a wolf in sheep clothing. He was a brutal one to Kayla and he always bullied and abused her mentally, physically and sexually. He left about two years ago and never came back. The scholarship is a life saver, Kayla was happy to get it and leave the orphanage, even if Toby ever comes back, she will no longer be there again. She will not be his victim anymore, he can't find her because she is far away from the orphanage and she did not tell anyone about her ventures. She squeezed her eyes shut to stop the flashbacks and thoughts running wild in her mind. She opened her eyes after calming down. Taking a deep breath, Kayla forced her feet forward and stepped into the building. The interior was bustling with students, their chatter and laughter filling the air. Yet, as she moved, their eyes seemed to follow her, drawn to her striking presence. Kayla kept her head down, clutching the strap of her worn out bag as she navigated the labyrinth of hallways. Anxiety churned in her stomach, but she fought it down, focusing on one thing: finding her lecture room. Kayla wished the attention would no longer be on her as she tried to find her way around. As if the heavens heard her prayers, the crowds in the hallway began to cheer as they all gathered at the entrance of the hallway. She wondered what was happening but happy that the attention was no longer on her, trying to make use of the now empty hallway, she walked faster admist the crowd trying to find her class. But it was futile, some ladies were still trying to run forward and Kayla got caught in the crowd getting pushed to the front. She was barely able to find her balance but when she did, she looked up to see some men walking down the corridor. They looked so alike, triplets, Kayla concluded. As she stared at them, she wondered what was it about them that drew her in. The first man, leading the trio, exuded an aura of authority. He stood tall and broad-shouldered, his posture straight and confident. His deep-set emerald-green eyes were intense, almost piercing, as if they could see through the very core of a person. His sharp jawline was clean-shaven, accentuating his strong facial features. His jet-black hair was styled neatly, combed back with precision, giving him a polished and professional appearance. He wore a tailored black suit that fit him perfectly, paired with a crisp white shirt and a dark tie. The shine of his leather shoes and the glint of a silver watch on his wrist added a touch of sophistication. The second man, to the left, had a more relaxed, playful yet equally captivating presence. His wavy black hair was slightly longer, brushing just above his collar, with a few rebellious strands falling over his forehead. His eyes were a striking icy blue, contrasting sharply with his warm, tan complexion. A light shadow of stubble lined his jaw, giving him a rugged charm. He wore a dark gray blazer over a black turtleneck, paired with slim-fit pants and sleek boots. His hands were casually tucked into his pockets, and his easygoing smile hinted at his playful, charismatic personality. The third man, positioned to the right, was the most enigmatic of the trio. His hair was longer, packed into a man bun that looked so amazing on him, adding to his aura, he looked like the least approachable one out of all the three. His golden-brown eyes gleamed with a quiet intensity, framed by thick lashes. His expression was calm and unreadable, almost as if he was lost in thought. Unlike the others, he wore a completely black suit, no hint of any colour, his look effortlessly edgy. Only a silver pendant that was peeking through the lapel of the suit jacket contrasted the whole look. His own steps were heavy, not light and fluidly like that of his two brothers. The three of them all had their muscles bulging under the suit and never ending tattoos that peeked through the sleaves of their suit. Kayla looked at them as they walked down the hall ignoring the girls who were screaming and squealing like they are some sort of celebrities. Just then, the second man, who looked a little playful turned his head and their eyes met. Almost like he felt her staring at them, his green eyes met her mismatched ones and he felt his breath hitch. Her eyes were so unusual but very beautiful. The innocence and sadness swirling in those eyes captivated him and he was sure it would be the same for his brothers. Her curly hair stood tall on her head almost hiding her face, he maintained eye contact with her until she broke it first and disappeared through the crowd, definitely to her first class. Another loud squeal reminded him of the other girls trying to get the attention of his brothers and him, he couldn't help but roll his eyes and they walked down the hall. They made their way to the Dean's office and walked in like they owned the place, well technically they did. The dean was nervous in front of the three men, even though they were there as professors, he knew their real identity and dare not offend them. "Here are the papers you asked for, list of classes and also the keys to your office." The dean gave the envelope to the person in the middle. Despite being Mafia king's, the brothers each had their dreams and ambitions and worked towards them and achieved them all. The green eyed man could not forget the girl he saw in the hallway, how she looked so small and delicate, he wanted to protect her. The other two noticed that their brother was distracted and wondered why. When they got to their office, Alistair King turned to his younger brother. "Elliot, what's gotten into you? You've been unusually quiet since we were in the hallway." Elliot leaned against the edge of the desk, his fingers running absentmindedly along the edge of the papers. "I saw someone," he admitted, his green eyes distant, as if replaying a memory. The eldest of the trio, Victor, who had been arranging the files on his desk with meticulous precision, paused and looked up. His emerald-green eyes narrowed. "Someone? Who?" "A girl, I think I found the one for us." Elliot replied. The simple sentence made the other two men stop moving as they stared at him.“Hisyam, kamu tidak ingin berkata apa pun?”“Aku hanya ingin minta maaf Mbak. Seharusnya aku enggak ikut membencimu.”“Sudahlah, Mbak titip Ayah sama Ibu ya.”“Memangnya Mbak mau ke mana, tolong jangan bikin Hisyam takut.”“Sayangi mereka, Hisyam … berjanjilah.”
