I quickly held my nose, worried it might be bleeding. Thankfully, it wasn’t. I let out a small breath of relief. But— “Didn’t you check where you’re going—” The words died in my throat. I slowly raised my head and froze. Cold eyes met mine.

Dylan said goodbye and loaded me up to leave. "Dylan, I'm fine." "You're bleeding!" "Huh, where?" "Your nose." I touched my nose, it was bleeding. At the small clinic, he was treating my nose and ears, but of some reason, I suddenly started crying. "Hey stop crying, you're annoying!" He said my hair is broken. "I can't." "Does it really hurt?" He asked worriedly. "No really but I'm scared of blood." He stared at me. "Looking you like that turns me on."

If someone took a broken shard of glass and ran it into my eyeballs, they may not hurt as much as they did then. I hit the ground face first as I fell, my half-open mouth taking in sand and leaves. I hunched over but when the second wave came, it hit harder than the first, devastating me from head to toe and reawakening the ringing in my eardrums. Something cold trickled out of my ears, my eyes, and mouth. It would be tears, sweat or snot. It could be blood.

I could hear the blaring sound buzzing in my ear as Pain explodes in every part of my body, all I could feel and see was darkness and pain. For one disorienting moment I genuinely couldn’t tell which direction was up or where and how it all happened. My head is cracked against the window Or maybe the roof. Honestly I wasn’t taking notes with shattered glass around me, some buried in my skin, chest, hair and face. Those tiny fragments slicing across my skin as something inside my shoulder popped with enough force to make me nauseous. I could feel warm liquid immediately flooding down the side of my face. And immediately I knew it was blood!

With a cry, I faltered, only for Kellin's fist to connect with my eye. "Shit!" I fell to my knees as pain erupted from behind my right eye socket, clutching my head. My head spun, and the world blurred. Before I could get my bearings, a knee came crashing and caught me right in the nose. The crack of my nose breaking was audible, and blood gushed out, spraying the asphalt with it. The blood spray was so potent that I heard Kellin's cronies swear in fear through the blood rush in my ears.

I tell them with a shrug. They all look at each other before Lyra grabs my arm and yanks me toward the changing room/shower room/bathroom. As soon as we're in there Lyra pushes me toward a mirror. A gasp automatically escapes my lips right when I see my nose in the mirror. It's swollen up so big that it looks like I got a Botox for Shrek's nose. It's completely blue and black all over, like something from a horror movie. "All I did was hit into a door, how did this happen?" I screech.
