Book Borrowed Time Novels & Stories

I greeted her running a hand through my hair. My hair gets messed up easily and I have a braided ponytail on before sleeping. Holy crap! Suddenly I remembered that I was waiting for Mr Hyde before I slept off. "well that explains it" I mumble to myself. "You say what?" Hannah asked, lost. "nothing" I replied. "is Mr Hyde still around?" I asked her taking a sip out of the cup coffee. "He left over an hour ago," she replied. I thought as much. Hannah sits beside me while I eat the food.

I stroked my hands over it before opening it up, grinning from ear to ear as well. “Sometimes, when I'm curled up in bed reading, I feel like I'm back in my own time and my own room and none of this has happened.” “Can I borrow it and read it?” I asked, grinning at the thought. “You can keep it. I've got a companion who worked out it was something I loved. He buys me one every now and then.”

I say, when I see that we've earned ourselves quite an audience now. " Excuse me, is everything okay here?" The shop assistance asks and I hear him sigh, before turning to face her. I take this distraction to my advantage and make an escape to the next aisle, practically running away from him. I let out a calming breath and allow myself to think of Ava and what I can quickly grab, since I've wasted enough time as it is. In my search, I find a cute cream white and brown teddy bear, that has a ribbon tied around it's neck and also a nice book with big shapes and colours and words.

"July 26, 2025. I, Olivia Larson, voluntarily donate my kidney to Lily Larson. No one forced or pressured me. This is my genuine choice." They finally looked at me. I continued to make concessions and gave her everything I had "Lily,I finished your thesis these past few days. You'll just have to put your name on it and you'll graduate." "And that oil painting Mom and Dad gave me for my birthday—you've always liked it. It's yours. And the private fund they set aside for me—I signed the transfer papers. You only need to sign it, and it's yours too." Mom sighed and spoke gently, though with disappointment in her voice. "Olivia, don't use tricks to gain our attention anymore, okay? Y

he checked the clock hanging opposite to him, “It’s been late, your friend is probably waiting for you…” It was almost 11 pm he jumped up to leave when Nick stopped him, asking to wait a second. He walked to the shelf. He came back with a torn out book, with a yellow dandelion painted on the cover, in a blue font drawn over it, ‘Love of Youth.’ Nick handed him this book, asking, “Read this. You’ll like it,” patting on the book. That whole night he read the book with a tiny sleep of four hours in the dawn. He came back to the shop next morning, reading the rest of it there, completely drown in the book. He didn’t realize someone came in.

I shrieked when I saw the old lady that was lurking behind me, giving me the stink eye disgusted. “I want a copy of Macbeth, rental two weeks period.” I tried to slow my heartbeats and move. This woman almost gave me a heart attack. I went to the shelves to get her the book she wanted, and who buys or rents a book this late? It’s 10 pm for God’s sake. Isn’t she afraid that someone would rob her or, worse, kill her? “Here you go ma’am, this would be.....” “I know what the cost is, here.”

I just made it for you. Elias knocked the thermos out of her hands. Scalding soup splattered across the floor. "Where's the money? I told you to borrow money! Did you get any?" he screamed hysterically. Claire stumbled back a step, tears streaming down her face. "I tried everywhere. Nobody would lend us anything." "Useless! All of you are useless!" Elias grabbed his pillow and hurled it to the floor. "What am I supposed to do now? Just wait to die? Is that it?"

And luckily, both didn't question much and did it for Roy anyway. "Here young man." The Store Keeper pointed at a row in the log. "Write your name, address, phone number and the date you wish to return. You can borrow the book for a maximum of fifteen days. If it's not enough, then come by and extend it." Roy glanced at Jeremy for a second and found him leaning on the counter with his always smiley face. Once again, Roy's heart skipped irregularly and a burst of warmth crept up on his face.

I suddenly had an idea. "You're not allowed to borrow too many books from the library, unless you read them here. The maximum is three books." "No, I'm gonna do my assignment here. I need a lot of references, so..." I glanced at the cart she was pushing. The librarian looked at the clock. It was already two-thirty, and the library would be closing soon. "You only have until five." "I know," I said. "I'll be quick. So, can I borrow that cart?"

She mumbled a small thank you that he would have missed but still heard it. " What time is it?" he heard her ask just as he was leaving. " Almost ten. " he said checking his wrist watch. " You should get some rest. " he told her. " I don't think I'd be able to sleep right away. " Sleep wasn't something that would come easily now after she'd slept for those almost three hours. "Do you have any books I could borrow. " " I'm not sure if those in my office would interest you. Unless I get you one from the library. "
