Death Inspires Me Like A Dog Inspires A Rabbit Novels & Stories

There's no way I'm gonna accept dying like this. No! There's no freaking way that I'm gonna die like this but what should I do? Cuddle with it so it would let me go? This is not a normal dog. No dog can be this huge. All of a sudden, it let out a loud howling, followed by two far-stretched ones. I jumped at the sudden sound. What was that, a call but a call for what? Oh my God! Is it calling other rabies to come feast on me?

My eyes were trained on the lifeless animal, which lay a few metres away from where we were standing. “I’m going to remove my hand, don’t you dare scream.”, he slowly removed his hand and stared at me, waiting for me to scream, so he could put it back on my mouth. When he noticed I was not going to do anything, h carried on with what he had been doing. He rinsed the dead animal with water and cut it into pieces. I averted my gaze, unable to stand what he was doing. It irked me, that such an innocent animal had been killed. I’d always been fond of rabbits when I was younger. They fascinated me and I remembered having one as my secret pet. Well, it didn’t stay a secret for long because, Kira s

I fall to my knees and double over for a second as the vision of Hugo fills my mind. In a flash, Doze is next to me. “I felt it too when my old man died. It should pass quicker for you because your wolf wasn’t really attached to him. Their souls never bonded,” he explains. I grunt and try to push to my feet but a wave of nausea hits me. “Just sit tight for a minute, I’m gonna get the hose,” he says, as I throw myself on my back. The feeling is like a bad leg cramp all over my whole body and for a moment, I can’t move.

“But not with death.” A dark gleam passed through his eyes. The edge of his claw lightly scratched my skin, sending shivers through every inch of my body. “Do you think they would have the same compassion for you, little rabbit?” His tone dropped to something lower, lethal, pure contempt. “I was wrong about you. Weak human… foolish… devoted to worms who would spit on your corpse without hesitation.” My breathing faltered. The air was thick and heavy, as if he were draining all the surrounding oxygen. But the anger mixed with despair made me lift my face.

The next morning, before the ritual began, a messenger from the Elder Hall delivered something — I'd had it sent through a Moon Shadow courier. Kael opened it. Inside was a formal document bearing the Moon Shadow Elder's seal: Ash's death certificate. Cause of death — failure to receive Alpha blood-kin power infusion within the full moon cycle, resulting in complete wolf disintegration. "Failure to receive Alpha blood-kin power infusion." Those words seared into Kael's eyes like a brand. Attached was a line in my handwriting: "Ash was laid to rest three days ago. No need to come. The mate bond is broken."

“Good. But there's one rule; no questions.” I nod. Marrying a man rumoured to be anything but a human may be much better than spending the rest of my life among lunatics in a human-sized cage. What may lie in wait? Either victory, romance, or insanity…

She didn't even hiss in pain, and her expression remained consistent. Using all that blood, Amy began writing her message to them. The blood was a sign that she wasn't afraid of dying and her only motive now was their destruction. "See you soon..."

Draining my strength just to hold its voice. Although the rabbit had stopped howling, its voice still ringing in my ears and shook my body balance. It took a long time for me to gain strength and stand. My head was spinning a little bit. But still could see clearly when the animal was growled, much like a home-guard dog who wanted to drove out the burglar. Its mouth filled with sharp teeth crushed its cute and funny impression before. A moment later, my ears caught rustling noise from a distance. As if there was something, no, some small creatures were approaching here with lightning speed. The voice released by them was precisely the same as the white rabbit in front of me.

I got away with its claw every month yet I never felt I could escape. Al fell silent with me. [It's worth it.] Kirsch's sudden rose of voice pulled my mind back, [Every second, every split of second with your heart beating, your blood pumping in your veins for the chase of life is much colorful and brighter than death. If the eternal rest is the destination for all, then why rush into it?] [Thanks, Kirsch.] I could feel that Al also relaxed at Kirsch's comfort. "Cerberus. Did you kill it?" I slid off his back, and Cerberus rose his head, searching for me with his paws still pressed on the rabbit.

“Are you sure you want to go in?” Rabbit jerked awake from its daze and crawled out of Philip's arms. “In that case, you should choose someone who isn't afraid to die,” Rabbit said tauntingly as if it was ready to watch the fun. Yule was startled by Rabbit’s sudden appearance and nasty remark.
