He's like in his 50's or something. By ten pm, I suddenly feel sleepy. I tried to stay awake but I really feel sleepy. I set my alarm clock at 4 am so that I have enough time to feel normal. Tomorrow will be a sweet adventure. I got awakened by the continuous loud knocks on my door. I suddenly remembered my sweet adventure. I rose up from my bed and glanced at the clock. It's already 8 in the morning. Not a good start for a day. But, what the hell is the reason why someone is knocking at my door at this time.

The situation on the ground robs me of sleep. I’m wide awake, watching the clock ticking like a time bomb on the nightstand. It’s twelve a.m., completely dark outside. My head slumps between my shoulders as I sob, feeling wounded. Broken. Several hours passed, my face soaked, my dress soiled. However, by four in the morning, the door flutters open. My body trembles, already certain it’s them. I try to scream, but someone clamps a hand over my mouth, muffling the sound trying to escape from me.

He knows the predator is in the room, but he can't see the teeth. I walk out into the hallway. The grandfather clock chimes. Dong. Dong. Dong. Ten o'clock. The house will be asleep by midnight. At 04:22, I will be reborn.

I'll share what I know. I hit send before I could change my mind. The message disappeared into the ether, and for a second I felt like I'd stepped off a ledge, like the ground had shifted beneath me and I was falling, falling, falling. I set the phone down, face up, and waited for the reply. It came quickly. *Eight o'clock. The usual place. Don't be late.* I closed my eyes and let my head fall back against the chair, the ceiling blurring above me.

With that thought I succumbed into a restless sleep. The next day I woke up to a banging noise. I shot up to a sitting position only to be greeted by Ms. Odelle hitting a metal bowl with a spoon. "Wake up! Time to get ready for work! You all have an hour to prepare and have breakfast!" she said while making sure everyone was up and about. It's five in the morning?? Lucky for me one of the toilets was unoccupied. I did my morning routine as fast as possible, then tied up my hair up into a loose bun. Next? Uniform.

After long hours of sleep, Olivia finally woke up at eight in the morning and went down. She walked into the kitchen and saw everyone munching on their breakfast on the chair in front of the table. This sight almost made her smile, but it didn’t last long because she suddenly had a flashback to her life four years ago.

It was one uncomfortable sleep, but given our situation, with our belongings gone and our lives at stake and being on the run, this was a piece of cake.
