“You look miserable.” Jeremy clenched his jaw, his fists tightening at his sides as pure hatred burned in his eyes. “What?” Ivy let out a wicked laugh. “Nothing to say? Because I just told you the truth?” Jeremy nodded slowly, his gaze locked on her, unreadable. “Well, here’s my truth.” He exhaled sharply. “I want a divorce.” Ivy’s breath caught in her throat. Her brows furrowed as disbelief settled in. “Look who’s speechless now,” Jeremy taunted, smirking as he slid into his car and started the engine.

“You can’t go back to New York, Giselle. If you want me to talk with my mother, I’ll do that, but you’re not leaving. Not yet. He already knew. “After everything he did?” His tone was quiet, too controlled. “There’s nothing he did that we can’t talk about,” I said, steady but soft. “We can start therapy again, see a counselor... whatever it takes. I just…” I paused, feeling my throat tighten. “I want to be his wife again. And Hope loves her dad.”

Camilla's breathing quickened, her chest heaving with each breath. "I gave you a chance, Jeremy. You're the one who threw it away!" She shot to her feet, tossed Jeremy's phone onto the coffee table, and stormed back to the master bedroom.
