he pointed at Dale “—you spared him. And now everything is unraveling.” “I won’t let you harm my pack.” “Oh, I won’t need to,” the man said calmly. “All I want is Queen Laida.” Dale’s blood ran cold. “She’s not who you think—” “She is exactly who I think she is,” the man interrupted. “You tried to suppress her scent, her wolf. But when she died... the beast woke. Slowly but surely, her true nature will emerge. She is the Queen of the Lycans."

and “you saved us.” “Cassia,” began the woman who had first spotted her in the room, her voice strong, if touched by her own tears. “If you hadn’t come for us, Kaylen and I would likely be in front of Devlin Anwir” - she said the name like she was spitting it - “this very moment.” Cassia’s head snapped to look at the woman, causing her to wince slightly. “Anwir?” She breathed. The woman nodded, solemn. “Kaylen and I -” she indicated the curly redhead beside her, “are both Lycans.”

they chuckled, their hands slapping and touching my backside. Despite my slender appearance, I possessed an attractive figure, boasting curves in all the right places. The guards grabbed the whip and began mercilessly flogging me as they forced me onward. Mocked and laughed at, I endured the lashes as they herded me towards the Slave Hunt. This place was a haven for rogue wolves destined for sale to the twin Lycan Kings. They were the wealthiest and most powerful Alphas around, true descendants of the Moon goddess. Their lycanthropy differed from others, standing taller and ten times stronger, resembling humans more closely.

I stared at the spot where the King and Queen of the Lycans had disappeared into the trees, their cloaked figures melting into dappled shadows like characters from some strange fairy tale. My fingers were still tangled with Christian's, our picnic half-forgotten around us, and a laugh bubbled up from my chest - sudden, uncontrolled, slightly hysterical. The Queen of the Lycans had just invited me for tea while wrapped in nothing but a cloak, her hair wild from running in wolf form. If my mother could see me now, she'd either faint dead away or disown me on the spot. Possibly both.

“How did you know she is of ancient bloodline?” “It was pretty obvious.” He puts off the light to her cell and her skin lits up, a bright golden glow in the dark. “My Goddess,” Jacob whispers. He switches the light back on and the glow is gone. Wait, no, not gone. Just isn't as visible anymore. The rogue Lycan explains, “She glows in the dark when she’s overwhelmed by emotions.”

I let out a sigh before slipping on the gown I had been handed, so be it. I smiled faintly when I saw my reflection in the human-length mirror. I was what anyone would call perfect and although I was tempted not to say a word, I couldn't help it. " Being the Lycan Queen wouldn't be so bad you know" I looked through the mirror, staring at my mother who had a blissful look on her face. " Here" she slipped on the veil on my face before standing up. " How will I be able to walk when my face is covered?" I asked as I was being led out of the room, her hands were placed on mine gently

"Hell no, you don't! But I do. I fucking need you, Jordy. Can't you see it? I'm fucked up. It's because you left and you took my heart with you. You left me to the cruel hands of anguish and misery. And I don't fault you for that. I don't." Tears cascaded down my cheeks and I moved deeper into the darkness. I was dripping emotions and I didn't want him to see it. But who was I kidding? He was a Lycan, not an ordinary one , but a king. He could see even the tiniest and darkest of things. Still, it was worth a try.

he started, voice breaking, hot with anger, and protectiveness. Jesse’s gaze cut him off. “Both of you…. Bow down.” Immediately… both of them dropped, trembling, and shaking. I could hear their hearts pounding in my ears. And then… He snapped his fingers. And his violet eyes immediately became pure silver. Those eyes! This color of eyes only… Only belonged to the Lycan King. I froze. My mouth went dry. Ryan and Aria shook violently. “You! Y-Your… Majesty…” they stammered.

Fiona explained “I wanted to take back what was rightfully mine that was stolen from me because I was brushed aside like dirt because I wasn’t a boy.” “I really don’t understand what you are going on about, Fi” Symphony told her honestly. “I was supposed to be the heir to the Lycan Kingdom. The Queen and Alexander’s father had a child that no one knew existed because I was a girl. I was sent away after I was born. The queen was the only one that told me who I was and why I was sent away. When the king died, I thought that was my chance to come out of the shadows and let the world know who I was. That all changed when Alexander was named heir and took the crown. My mother tried to poison

“Do not call out culture stupid! You weren’t here, you didn’t see what the witches did to the world and even the mighty wolf kingdom you came from. You have some nerve mocking us. You wolves did worse.” “We didn’t ill children. We didn’t kill any little witch that was born to us by our own people. We didn’t turn anyone pup into a monster and then vanish from the face of the earth so the world would suffer what we had don!” Taylor took a step closer, looking through queen of the Lycans in the eye. “We aren’t half as petty and monstrous as your people.” The Lycan Queen grabbed a her sword and swung it at Taylor, Zephyr grabbed it immediately, the sword ingraining in his palm as he gripped it.
