Carrying my heavy bag of goodies *I took more herbs and fruits on my way out of the forest*, and I start the journey home. A journey that took me two oge to go will take me three oge to return because of the heavy bag I am carrying. Humming, I continue on my merry way; singing makes me lose momentary focus on my surroundings, it makes the journey less strenuous for me. "And where do you think you're going to witch?" Before I can register what's happening, he's already caught my hair in his fist. Letting go of my bag of goodies (it has a covering) I clutched at him in pain. "Please let go!" I beg.

I asked him and started looking around to see what might have him alerted. “Cinnamon and apples.” Maddox’s tail is now going 100 miles per hour. He’s jumping threw invisible hoops in my head. “Shitballs.” I muttered “What? Find something useful?” Legolas asked looking up from the 350-year-old book he was attempting to comprehend. “We got to get out of here. She’s here” “Who’s here?” “The runt. Let’s go!” I say closing books and putting them on a rack for the librarians to put back on the shelf.

It was a book they had read countless times, but each time, it held a new magic, a new wonder for Theo. “Once upon a time,” Hazel began, her voice soft and soothing, “there was a little bear named Barnaby who loved to go on adventures.” Theo’s eyes widened, his attention captivated by the story. He listened intently, his tiny fingers tracing the illustrations, his imagination soaring with each word Hazel spoke. The story of Barnaby the bear, his adventures in the forest, his encounters with talking squirrels and mischievous rabbits, filled the room with a sense of magic and wonder. Theo giggled at Barnaby’s antics, his heart filled with joy.

“There you go. Our policy states that every borrowed book must be returned in three days.” “You have nothing to worry about,” I replied and tried to lay my hands on the book but he pulled it away from my grasp. He turned to Miles. “You’re the one whose details were captured. You should take it.” Miles nodded and grabbed the book. I frowned. “One more thing!” The bookkeeper called our attention just when we turned around to leave. "The heart must choose. The hands must heal. Or the curse will seal." He said.

"Some magicians cast spells on their belongings to prevent malicious people from having access to them." "But I'm not a malicious person," I counter. Genevieve nods. "Yes. That's why you're still able to speak right now." My eyebrows raise in surprise. Looking down at the book, I contemplate whether I should pick it up just yet. "Go ahead," Genevieve encourages. I reach for the book and it doesn't hurt me this time. I look at both of them, smiling in my small victory. The cover page is plain and black in colour. Turning to the front page, there are inscriptions in a strange language.

I stood there with red-rimmed eyes and slammed my ruined textbooks down in front of him. "Dominic Blackwood, what the hell do you want? Take that notice down! We are nothing to each other!" The grin slowly faded from his face. He backed me into a wall, step by step, his tall frame casting me entirely in shadow. He pressed me against the bricks, his voice dropping low. "You started this. Now you see it through." "I didn't start anything!" "Yes, you did." He stared me down, unblinking. "The second you put your hands over my eyes, you sealed your fate."

When she felt our presence, she raised her head saying: “I have prepared everything needed to cast the spell” My body trembled a little when I saw her put the horseshoe inside and I felt Kevin bat my back for me in comfort. I smiled back half heartedly. “Where is the book?” I looked at granny processing her question, and then I ran out to get my bag. I felt it inside my bag when I traveled back to this time, but I didn’t check it at the time. I opened my bag and found it inside. With proud flashing inside me, I gripped it and went back to them.

Kendra sat in the library with the book, The Hobbit, opened on her lap. When Rex had first shown the room that was lined with books to her, she’d been both intimidated and overwhelmed. She was taught to read by Olga, but the availability of reading material was limited. Therefore, her reading skills were wanting.

Lucas had been sitting in his chair for over an hour while Bobby read to his grandmother from his favorite childhood books. It was a ritual by now. Every day, for half a day, they would sit by her side, and Bobby would read her the stories she had once read to him. This was a special one. The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe.

My wealth began to snowball, growing rapidly. … One year later. On an ordinary afternoon, I drove aimlessly through the city. By some twist of fate, I returned to that familiar intersection. I did not get out. I parked, peering through the tinted windows, quietly observing. Cars streamed by as crowds surged past. Students in uniforms walked across the crosswalk, laughing and teasing in small groups. Sunlight spilled over their young faces, filling them with hope and dreams for the future. I suddenly understood that the one who died in prison in my previous life was not truly my past self.
