Elva moved into the space between us. The Oracle nodded at her companions, and they spread themselves and equal distance around our circle. Then they all lifted their hands. At once, a strong, pulsing magic flew from the Oracle’s hands. It stretched outwards, moving like waves as it circled all of us in a bluish-purple light. Elva began to glow, just as she had done during Veronica’s experiment. “Mommy?” she said. “It will be okay, honey,” I told her. A zap rushed through me like a bolt of electricity. The pain quickly followed.

Ten large orbs floated in the middle of the room, lining each other like a planetary alignment with a large glass staircase spiralling around them up to the roof. Each orb held different colours and Hazel pointed at the second orb, a brownish gold orb with hues of white and silver. At the same time she was pointing at it, the orb pulsated with energy. The energy was like a gentle sonic wave and it hit only me. The orb suddenly turned into a world map and my eyes zoomed into the planet. The world spun for a bit and my vision took me to Asia. My eyes continued to zoom in, pinpointing a location and then I was thrown out into another vision.

“Weird stuff has been happening to me lately, what if I like, make it blow up in your house or something?” He chuckled and shoved it into my hands. I held it gingerly and tried my best not to drop it. When I confirmed that it would not in fact blow up his house, my grip became more firm. As I looked at it, the red colors began to swirl throughout the orb, it took on a blue glow, and then I saw darkness.

Disposable. I approached the portal with the Orb cradled against my chest. The stone pulsed beneath my hands, warm and hungry, as if it had been waiting for me. "Is it ready?" I asked. The taller witch nodded. "The portal is stable. But crossing with the Orb will cause... disturbances." "Disturbances?" "The realms have been separated for centuries. The Orb's magic is the anchor that keeps the human world barren. When you take it through, the balance will shift. There will be earthquakes. Perhaps worse."

I was a bystander in all of this, but I couldn't help but feel I just as much at stake as the rest of these Fae. The six orbs melted into one, and I found myself drawn to the cacophony of color within the glassy surface. Splotches of black, red, green, blue, white--every color, even colors I had never seen before appeared in the large orb. With a great gust, the orb lifted into the sky. I tracked it with my eyes for as long as I could, watching until the harsh sunlight forced my retreat. I blinked back the large splotches in my eyes and cursed myself for looking so long. The harsh sunlight left me feeling dazzled and blind. As the spots behind my eyes slowly vanished, I found myself somewher

I can't believe myself I ignored that statement. I felt everyone's gaze as I walked closer to the crystal(orb) . I put my hands on the crystal, closed my eyes and brought myself closer. Suddenly I heard the crowd gasping. I looked at the orb and saw seven colors. Black ,blue, red, violet ,white, yellow and the most obvious color of them all that catches my eye, Dark Green. Everyone seems surprised. This is getting more cliche than I thought it would. Someone please explain to me what is going on. This feels awkward in many ways.

Pernwél followed my lead and searched around the roots with me. We did find something. Pernwél was holding a little sphere in her hands. It looked like misty glass but the white and grey smoke-like substance inside moved slightly. It wasn’t something I had ever seen before. “A memory orb.” Pernwél said with a very faint voice.

We heard a lot of different stories of travel, but the most concerning was the one that came from the Chilka. A Chilka is a flying Daemonaria, they are often messengers for the various villages and kingdoms through Skiora. Their wings have a similar shape to bats but are actually darkly feathered. That’s okay though because it suits their bird-like eyes that are parted quite a distance away from each other. I tried my best not to stare as he told us he flew over an army of Orcs, all headed for Wanbourne, and probably less than two days behind us. Even though we didn’t specifically ask about it, he also told us that the leader of the Orcs, Cutlass, is out for blood since a section of his army

I think I just need to have faith and pray that Zen is not watching. I took the scrolls and books that I ‘borrowed’ from the library of the sages and started studying it to see if there was any guide as to how to use the power of the witches orb. There were no particular guide or spells to use, but I guess that it can be used just like an anchor. Just like a trinket or a totem. It can also be used like that. Although, I did not see Zen's orb with him, he probably doesn't need it anymore, that is why. I need to start using the orb for more advanced spells as a mage and figure out how to use it in combat too. How I will juggle it with being Father's bodyguard, I will figure out soon.
