Banning Books In Public Libraries นิยาย & เรื่องราว

Then a boisterous laugh filled the room. Irina pouted. Coughing, Nieal tried to stop the laugh. He coughed few times before he could speak again. “I’m sorry.” He said. “But, books for sale?” He chuckled. “Not in my town, glassy.” Still pouting, Irina didn’t say a word. That made Nieal coughed again to cover his laugh. “You know I will never allow that, right? Everyone in this town have free access to the books that they wanted to read—” He paused a second. Then emphasized. “—in the library.”

I answered and her lips curled into a smile, even though it didn't reach her eyes. Alpha Vanthorn stopped me from attending schools, all because his insecure daughter was afraid that I was more intelligent than she was. Therefore he stopped me from attending school. But still, it didn't stop me from reading. Whenever I go grocery shopping, I'll sneak some books from the public library. Thankfully, he didn't notice my countless trips to the library. Or maybe he did, he just didn't see me as a threat to his daughter anymore, since I wasn't attending classes.

Wilma ordered playfully, pulling out a magazine from her bag. I groaned, "Really Wilma? I've told you to stop reading those things in here, what if a customer walks in and sees that? You know it would be bad for business. It's a bookstore which intellectually stimulates, not some porno shop" I expressed. "Okay first of all, have you ever thought that maybe, just maybe, the reason why business isn't moving is because no one is interested in reading boring old books anymore? This is what people are into these days, okay? News, gossip, all that juicy information.

So it was privately banned, so few people we're able to get this book before it gets banned. One of them is the family of Yubin's friend, it was at that moment when they realize that the book has been banned, they decided to hide it and give it to their daughter. Then the daughter will read it, if they liked it, share it with someone that is because they idolize the work of a dead man.

I paused on my tracks. “You stole a lot of pillows from the quarters.” “And we turned it into a bed cushion, Agnes. They won’t notice that they are missing a few duckling feathers.” “You snatched many books from the library.” Agnes added. “Don’t worry, all of those books are forbidden. They do not care about stuff that they don’t believe in.” “They are planning on burning it all anyway...” Fatma noted as she halted for a breather too, “You should steal more.”

The Myth of Alpha's Rejection"? I really need the book right now. It's urgent." It appeared as though the woman had recalled the book, as her expression of confusion began to fade, and she responded, "I told you many years ago that the students were not permitted to read those books. It's just the library is really big and protected; that's why the ancient books are here." "I swear I will not want to borrow that book. I will read it here for a few minutes," Ava replied. She had the idea of quickly taking photos of the pages so she could read them later.

Before I was locked up by Alpha Stephen, I would love to sit in the library and read as many books as I could, I loved the idea that you could be transported into a new world without having to move. Alpha Stephen knew how much I loved the library so when his abuse begun, it was forbidden for me to ever enter that library again if I did, I would be beaten for defying him. So, as I took my seat on one of the comfortable chairs of the coffee table, I could have burst with happiness as I began to read the words in front of me.

I grimaced. "Ma'am, I'm not looking for that book. It's just him," Dark Louiz protested to our librarian. "I know, but you have to tell me that you two are fighting here in the library where it is forbidden doing that! No one is allowed to create a noise here!" Our librarian snorted to him. We became quiet and we were embarrassed in front of our librarian. "Now what?! Why can't you talk, huh? So I'm requesting for you to come to my office now! Follow me to my office! I'll discuss something!" Our librarian told us.

The sound echoed around the room and into my ears, filling me with a sense of warmth and peace o could not shake. “The librarian banned me from borrowing books for a week!” “How does someone even get banned from a library?” I said my heart was still slamming against my rib cage. “That’s what I’d like to know too.” She scoffed, then rolled her eyes. “Can you believe she thought exceeding the borrowing limit was a good enough reason?” “Exceeding the borrowing limit is not something normal people do. How many books did you read?” She pointed accusingly at me; her eyes still light with mirth. “You’re one to talk, crow boy.”

I did not even have a voice to oppose for my aunt made up a story that the library was a bad influence to a child like me, that I deserve to be normal and to be free to play my heart out. Which, I do not believe for she only wants to make a customized playroom for her child. I was not even allowed to go there. Good thing, I was able to save few of my favorite books before it was thrown out. They held an exquisite grand party fronting it as a celebration for my birthday today.
