Darkness Comprehended It Not Novels & Stories

Darkness rushed in swift and absolute. And I fell.

I realized then, with a quiet, terrifying clarity, that his darkness had already reached me. And I wanted to see how deep it went.

Except this time, it was the wrong kind of silence.

I asked and he shook his head, instead he pulled out one of the chairs opposite me and sat down. “There’s a second part of the piece.” he said and i glanced at him briefly before moving my attention back to the paper in front of me. “I allowed the darkness to come and take the warmth, the softness and the joy from the one i loved, i didn’t realise it was there until it was too late, until it was being reduced to nought, but that wasn’t just the part, it was the fact that i never knew that i was the darkness until all i could see was myself.” He finished off and my hands shook as my gaze remained implanted on the paper, even with my eyes fixed on the paper my mind was not.

The absence of familiar illumination is replaced by an eerie, otherworldly gloom. As the carriage begins to move forward once again, the mermen peer into the abyss, their eyes adjusting to the dimness. The darkness surrounds them, an all-encompassing presence that feels both oppressive and captivating. It is a realm where the boundaries between the known and the unknown blur, where unseen perils and hidden wonders lie in wait.

I approach it with him, my heart rate skipping a beat when it encompasses him. When I reached for it, I was overwhelmed. The darkness was so thick, my vision was covered in the ebony blanket, and everything I could once see in front of me was now gone. Including the Alpha. Thor clearly knew this place better than me, which also meant that he had assumably powered ahead and this is all for nothing. I stopped.

“If this darkness keeps feeding on him, it won’t just silence his wolf—it will consume him completely.” My stomach turned cold. I gripped the edge of the bed for balance. “Then do something,” I said. “Fix it. Whatever it takes.” “I can’t, not without knowing where it came from. Dark energy like this doesn’t just appear, it has to be bound to him somehow.”
