That was it. Hari couldn’t hold it anymore. He burst into loud laughter, nearly collapsing onto the floor as he pressed his ear closer to my phone, trying to catch every word of my conversation.
“Mom,” I said through gritted teeth, closing my eyes in frustration, “I’m not gay. Fvck.”
“Bibig mo, Sebastian Edison!” she yelled in return, making me wince.
“I’m not, mom! It’s Haven! She’s holding my card right now, and she’s mad at us—so I’m letting her use it because her birthday is coming up. Okay na ba?” I explained, trying to stay calm while Hari’s laughter continued echoing beside me.
