.... (Aurora's POV) My heart completely sank. Leaping and almost bursting through my chest, for I have crossed part with the devil himself. And no, he is nothing like the tales told, he is not an ugly red man with horns but rather a beautiful man with luscious hair who can easily bewitch one with just a single stare. His golden brown eyes, which I clearly remembered changing color, shone brighter when he smiled even though I could tell those smiles were fake, all a sham to manipulate another victim....

"We'll put that aside for now. Unfortunately, there is another matter we must contend with." He looks directly at me and I know I'm about to be crushed by whatever it is he's about to say. "It has come to my attention that Aurora is of mixed Lycan and Werewolf heritage. Such a thing is very unusual, and many believe such a lineage is cursed. The safety of my people is my sacred duty, therefore a decision must be made. “The question must be posed: will we allow Aurora to stay among us, or exile her and send her off on her own?"

Myself and Christina said at the same time. “What do you mean you are working for Aurora?” I asked her. She ignored me and walked into the house. “I'm guessing from your expression you didn't know either,” Christiana said softly, “Aurora will manipulate her against you. Remember she wants to make you pay for what you did to her,” she said to me. I scoffed, “whose fault is that?” I asked, “huh?” I stared at both of them hard, “you both need to leave this very moment,” I said to them. “Guards!” I yelled.

Mr Saint threatened with a serious expression on his face. “Does your daughter come from any forbidden bloodline or lineage by the packs?” I needed to make sure the prophecy didn't come to pass. Mr Saint looked like he was searching his Brain for what to say, “That's impossible,” He smiled, “Aurora is from my bloodline so how can you ask that question.” “What of her Mother?” I had never heard of Aurora's Mother, and I needed to clear my own Mother's head. “Aurora's Mother was also from my pack, but she is late now, someone killed her,” Mr Saint's voice lowered, and I immediately felt bad for asking such a question.

“I followed her. I heard what she and the other alphas planned. They spoke of moving before the white witch arrives. They are conspiring against you.” Aurora inhaled deeply, the pieces falling into place. Her gaze flicked to Aries. “I told you,” she whispered. “I felt her.” “Who?” Mauren asked. Aurora turned back to him. “I believe I have a doppelgänger. A dark reflection of myself. I had a vision of her—black magic surrounds her like smoke. She looks like me, but… twisted. She shoved the couch, muscles straining as she dragged it across the floor. “Mina!” Aurora said. “You’re scaring me. Aurora uttered sharply, trying to pull back her hand but to her exasperation, Celeste held on. “Ethan and I are just childhood friends, and because of how close we are, I know there’s no place for you,” Celeste went on with a sickening smile, which hid malicious intent, “But you’re not angry, right? You will not do anything stupid because of this, right?” “I said, Get off!” Aurora hissed at her, pulling back her arm with much force. She saw the malicious glint in Celeste’s eyes a second before the woman let out a sharp scream, and fell backward to the ground in a heap.

Her chest rose and fell rapidly in anger as she hissed: “Stop sugarcoating it! You just want the fucking power for yourself. You are a ruthless pragmatist, taking advantage of this war! And I WILL NOT diminish myself to be your goddamn tool!!!” Damien’s face grew cold. He looked at Aurora’s anger-filled face, chuckling icily, “You know that I get what I want no matter what, right?” “Yeah. A ruthless pragmatist. Just like I said.” Aurora shook his hand off her wrist and stood up. “But leave me out of your plots and schemes,” she said sternly. She turned to walk away from him.
