I sink into it, exhaling the tension I’ve been carrying since the day I saw him fall off that cliff.
I buckle in, order a glass of water, and scroll through the in-flight movies. My fingers freeze when I see one titled Moonbound: A Werewolf’s Curse. I snort bitterly. “Oh, the irony,” I mumble, pressing play anyway.
The screen flickers to life. The cabin hums low, engines rumbling beneath my feet. For a moment, I almost let myself relax. Almost.
