"You're pregnant?!" Bryse's shocked voice grated on my nerves as he stumbled upon me retching into the sink.

After I managed to clean myself up, I shot my lousy ex a death glare, telling him to mind his own business.

"Who's the father?" he persisted, his curiosity driving me up the wall.

"It's none of your business, Bryse!" I snapped, shoving him away from me, infuriated by his nosiness. But he didn't back down.

Despite my forceful push, he stood his ground, his determination to uncover the truth unwavering.

"It can't be my uncle, Tysha. After what I told you, you know he shouldn't be," he reminded me, the weight of his words sinking in.

He was right. After learning everything about Rue, I knew it was a terrible idea to be carrying his twins. But at that moment, I was too overwhelmed to process it all. I was broken and hopeless, and the last thing I needed was Bryse prying into my personal life.

"Just leave me alone!" I exclaimed, my voice tinged with frustration, before storming out of the room where Bryse had dropped his bombshell revelation.

I couldn't believe what I had just heard, and the only thing on my mind was confronting Rue himself. With determination driving me, I made my way to his office.

“Tysha.” Shock was evident in Rue’s expression and tone when I barged into the room where they were holding their meeting.

I did not respond to his call. Instead, I kept my eyes on him while preventing myself from exploding in front of many people.

Even the businessmen and businesswomen he was with turned their eyes in my direction because of my scandalous entrance.

Despite the attention I got, I could not feel anything at the moment. I was just so furious to feel embarrassed.

When my eyes darted on Rue who was sitting at the end of the long table, I never averted my gaze anymore.

I stood proud, unaffected by everyone’s stares, unfazed. Perhaps, it is like this when the emotions in your heart are too much. You will no longer feel shame.

Terrible! What Bryse told me was infuriating! I did not know that... after all the sacrifices we made in this relationship, Rue and I would still end up like this. I thought he was different from his nephew. Bullshit!

No words really came out of my mouth but even so, Rue already knew what he had to do. 

“Meeting dismissed,” Rue announced as he stood up. His eyes never left me too as if he was reading what was going on in my mind. “We’ll reschedule it for some other time. Sorry for the inconvenience.”

“B-But, Sir, I’m already in the middle of my—” an elderly businessman tried to complain. But when Rue glanced at him, he stopped protesting.  

Since he is the CEO of SlumberLux, everyone in the room could do nothing but obey and agree to his order.

“Alright, Mr. Colterzon.”

And that was exactly what happened. They all went out, leaving us.

Trembling rose in my heart when Rue and I were left alone in the room. Indeed, the heart is stupid when it comes to this matter. No matter how much I was hurt by what I found out, here goes my heart, still beating faster because of him.

As always, Rue looked so handsome while wearing a navy blue tux. Underneath it was white long sleeves paired with a tie that was the same color as his tux.

He was fine-looking without any effort plus his look that was screaming perfection.

The brightness from the windows of this room at his left side made a perfect-angled shadow of his nose. Even his lips looked like Cupid's bow. Its thickness was obvious based on its shadow. His evident Adam’s apple also added a kicking factor to his overall look.  

All of his features defined roughness, including his defined jawline and fringe haircut. Despite all of it, there was his pair of eyes.

I stared at his kind-looking hooded blue eyes. In spite of their color, they still seemed like an ocean that if you would stare for too long, you would surely drown and disappear. His thick eyelashes and brows made them more special. So, it was not surprising that many people fall for him.

All of him kept shouting about our differences. I could not help but feel small. How could I think someone like him would actually fall for me?

Because of what I thought, my heart ached excruciatingly.  

Rue first removed his tuxedo. He did not care about anything anymore because there were only two of us here. Next, he loosened up his tie. He folded the sleeves of his white long sleeves up to his elbows. After that, he then approached me, carrying his tuxedo.

As he walked toward me, my heart hammered even faster.

“You came here dressed like that?” asked Rue when his eyes looked at me from head to toe. Then, how they remained on my chest, gazing intently.

When he tried to put his tuxedo on my shoulder, I avoided him. He was surprised by what I did but did not seem to mind.

“It’s cold, Tysha. Let me put this on you—” He tried to reach me again but I stopped him.

“No thanks.”

His lips parted in utter disbelief. He wanted to say something more about my cold response but he chose not to insist.

To be honest, I am not used to the two of us being like this but I have to distance myself.

In the end, he had no choice but to put down the tuxedo he was offering and then gave his full attention to me again.

“What brought you here?” he asked with concern and gently caressed my cheek. “Are you bored in the penthouse?”

His voice was like a wind—soft and soothing to my ears. I also inhaled his scent especially when he stood right in front of me.

The stares of his hooded ocean-like blue eyes were making me melt. Even so, I kept my gaze, trying to ask him through eye contact because, to be honest, I could not bear to utter the question that was bugging me.

Then I asked him silently for the nth time.

Can you really do that to me, Rue? Should I believe what I found out?

But no... the evidence was very strong. No matter how much I trusted him, my trust still ended up being broken.

I wanted to ask him. Now could be the perfect chance to catch him off guard but I decided to do it using my own way.

There were so many words I wanted to say to Rue but not a single word escaped my lips. And the consequence of keeping things to myself was that the ache in my heart grew worse.

He slipped his hand around my waist to pull me closer to him. By the simple act of doing that, the monster inside of me came to life and warmed me up.

It seemed that he was not satisfied yet and even lifted me up and put me down on the long table. He stayed between my legs.

The lust within me intensified. It dominated my anger a while ago. I wanted to be angry at myself for feeling that way but I could not.

Rue's gaze alternated between my eyes and lips. I could also clearly see how he was restraining himself to make his wet lips touch mine.

Why did I just see this now? Why did I just notice it now?

With the way he looked at me… all I see was lust.

Once again, I felt my heart break.

How foolish of me that I am more than… a thing to him?

“You should have told me you’re coming. I could have canceled our meeting earlier—”

With a mixture of desire and rage, I kissed him torridly. He did not seem to expect me to do that, but even so, he gladly accepted my kiss. 

He kissed me back with equal passion—hungrily and sensually.

“What’s the matter, baby?” he asked between our kisses. “You missed me so much?”

 Instead of answering him, I just put my two arms around his neck to bring him closer to me.

He did not seem to want to lose. I froze slightly when he inserted his warm tongue in my mouth. I gasped audibly because of that.

We both stared at each other for a moment. We were only a few centimeters away from each other. Our foreheads were resting on each other.

I could smell his minty breath from our distance. Even it was addicting to me. After that, he again attacked my lips with a kiss.

The sound of our kisses enveloped my ears and so did the fast beating of my heart. A few more minutes passed before Rue moved his warm lips down my jaw to my neck.

What I wore was not a problem for us because I was only wearing a tube and a pencil-cut skirt.

He was really good at multitasking. No wonder, he became a billionaire at a very young age.

While distracting me with our hot kisses, he was gradually unzipping my skirt. When he finished, he raised it on my stomach so that nothing would be an obstacle to the position of the two of us.

I did not know where to put my focus. All I knew was that my nervousness was getting more and more intense as we both went deeper and deeper into what we were doing.

A moan escaped my lips. I tightened my grip on him and moaned because of the intensity of the heat I felt.

Rue seemed to be affected by my moan as well which was why he shifted from his position. He also used his hand on my waist to bring me closer to him.

Because of what he did, I felt the growing bulk of his jeans right in between my legs. It awakened a different sensation within me that made me dig my nails into his neck unintentionally. I moaned even more because of the pleasure.

I let myself be driven by lust one last time. And so did he. I noticed that when the way he looked at me changed. What used to be tenderness in his eyes was replaced by fire.

“I love you so much,” he uttered like the wind as he tried to devour my neck down to the alley of my boobs.

My heart ached as I heard those words from him. For a moment, I was brought back from my trance by doubt.

This is my own way to figure out the truth. It did not need any confrontations but it was able to wreck my heart.

“I loved you too,” I responded weakly and looked away. It seemed like he did not notice the difference in our responses because he was too busy with what was happening right now.

Without any difficulty, my tube top fell onto my belly, fully revealing my aroused mountains. Their peaks were standing proud.

When I felt his hand and lips on both my breasts, I lost my mind again. I automatically arched my back because of the dizzying sensation he made me feel.

I craved for the furious harvest of his mouth and hands.

The room was air-conditioned but both of us were sweating because of the excitement.

“R-Rue!” I moaned while calling his name, kind of overwhelmed with the feelings he kept on giving me. The feeling of his warm lips on the top of my chest seemed to make me lose my sanity. I could not even fix my own hands where to hold onto.

He devoured my twin peaks alternately as I lost myself in wonderland. Even if we were not yet starting, I felt the wetness of my folds that soaked my G-string underwear.

“Rue!” I gasped his name again when he finally laid me down on the long table. He quickly removed his belt and took out his robust.

My lips parted as his long weapon immediately stood proudly.

Though I have seen it countless times, I still could not help but be shocked. It gave me a different kind of fear and excitement.

When he hooked one of my legs in his arm to steady me, I bit my bottom lip to stop the moan that was trying to escape my lips.

He did not make any effort to remove my underwear anymore. He just put it on the side just so it would not be a hindrance to us.

As soon as his fingers touched it, I closed my eyes.

I took a deep breath. Without a second, he inserted his huge robust into my fragile pearl. Biting my bottom lip seemed to have lost its effect because my gasp was still getting louder.

For the nth time, my fingernails dug into his muscular arm. Still, he did not mind it and focused on thrusting in and out.

I shrieked as he jolted and sent me to paradise. I did not even know where to focus my attention anymore. As he went through deeper and faster, there was something within me that was about to explode.

I anticipated it by arching my back, looking up to nowhere, and moaning simultaneously to his deep thrusts.

That final night Rue ended up without me, having a single chance to confront him personally about what I found out.

All I knew was... the weight of everything was breaking me into pieces.

I could not even cry. I did not want Rue to hear me cry and ask me why. I did not want to… because my decision might change.

The pain… was terrible.

I still could not accept the fact that I found out. With everything I sacrificed in this relationship, it seemed that everything was still not enough. Bullshit!

As my heart kept breaking, I just pulled my hair in frustration. I tried wiping the tears that were running down my cheeks numerous times, but it was futile. I was unable to control my emotions as my eyes felt like they were a broken faucet.

This should also be the last of us and Rue. This must be the last one.

I tried to wipe the tears from my eyes again. After that, I focused my eyes on the contract I had prepared, the one that Rue and I had signed.

Everything we agreed on was recorded there. Even our full name and signature, a symbol that we both agreed to in this state.

For the nth time, bitterness started eating my whole system.

It felt like it had been a long time ago since we both decided to enter this relationship; since we had no idea about what could happen…

I eventually stood up and put my things away. Actually, I only went to Rue's office to pick up my belongings.

My decision is final. I'm leaving. And I’m going to run away with his twins within me. I swear Rue will never hear a single thing from me again starting from now.

I put all my things in the bag after closing it. Since I wanted nothing to remind me of him when I moved forward, I left my copy of our contract.

Then, I returned to Rue's room to glance at him one last time. There, I could clearly see how he was sleeping soundly, having no idea of what he was about to lose forever. 

I smiled bitterly as my tears fell for the last time.

If there is one thing I realized, it is whether we fall because of lust, attraction, or attachment, it is our flame that could burn us. As for me, the inflamed lust is the one that tore my heart into a million pieces, and it all happened after I was hired by my ex’s billionaire uncle.
