“You inviting me out? Are you sick?”
“I’m serious,” she said. “One drink. Maybe two. You need it. Trust me.”
I stared at the city lights below, thinking. I haven’t been out for months. No clubbing, no real drinking, not even a stupid girls’ night. Puro trabaho. Puro obligation. And I hate to admit it—but she was right. I needed a break.
I sighed. “Fine. I’ll think about it.”
“I’ll be there by ten. Wear something dark and expensive… oh wait, that’s your default.” Before I could reply, she ended the call.
