Playboy's Contract
I turned.
And forgot every reasonable thing I was supposed to think.
Athena stood near the top of the staircase wearing a simple white dress. It wasn’t grand. Walang mahabang train, walang kumikinang na beads, walang attempt na magmukhang bride from a magazine. The dress fell softly around her, clean and quiet, with sleeves that made her look delicate even though I already knew she was anything but weak.
Her hair was loosely fixed, a few strands framing her face. She had light makeup on, just enough to bring color back to her cheeks, but not enough to hide the exhaustion in her eyes.
