It was written by N-Victory, an author whose stories I had loved for years. I had found the book that morning in the small library room downstairs and had been hooked ever since the doctor left. My eyes moved across the pages quickly. The characters were dramatic. Emotional. Chaotic. Exactly the kind of romance stories I used to devour without thinking. But not as dark as the ones I used to love.

James sat in his grandmother's cozy living room, listening intently as she read him the stories of Eli, the vampire who had faced insurmountable odds and emerged victorious through sheer determination and the power of love. James had always loved hearing these stories, but today they held a special meaning for him.
