Sloth Sin Meaning

“Bawat estate po represents one of the seven sins.” “Seven sins?” “Yes po. Lust, Pride, Wrath, Envy, Greed, Gluttony, and Sloth.” “Parang cult naman,” natatawa kong bulong. The maid quickly lowered her gaze. “Hindi po magandang biro iyon rito.” Oops.

I now see myself as someone who sins on a regular basis, and I'm working on that because of her. The word means something different for me than it does in contemporary culture. As a child I learned that to sin is to do something really bad. If you look it up you'll find it usually refers to a violation of a religious code of conduct. So by this definition if you're not religious, you can't really sin, because you have no religious code of conduct to violate. "Is it okay if you sinned because of me?" I asked her as she caressed the side of my cheeks.

But why do people fall into sin when they know that sin is not good? "Because of the pleasure it brings," sagot ni Zion. "Sin inclines into human nature. And you know what the human nature is. The very nature of human is selfishness. And sin was born from selfishness. The nature of sin? The lust* of eyes and flesh, and the pride of life? These three become the root of sin because it is loving yourself more than loving God and others. It's your self-love. Self-gratification. Self-glorification. Self. All of that pertains to yourself. You. That's why sin is pleasurable because all of that inclines to your own selfishness.

"Right. You haven't formally met yet.” Lumapit siya sa akin. "He is Gregory Zahed, like me, Luca, and Enver, Gregory is one of the founders of the Seven Sins. I am not sure if I mentioned this to you, but in the Underground Society, I was called WRATH, a combination of the first two letters of my first name and the second to last letter of my last name. The same goes for Luca, who is known as LUST, Enver as ENVY, and Gregory as GREED. There are three more guys you haven't formally met: SLOTH, GLUTTONY, and PRIDE," mahabang paliwanag ni Wregan.

“What is Squammy?” kunot noong tanong ni Travis. “ Why would I be ashamed of you? I love you for who you are. I don't care what others say. I don't owe them anything. I earn my money through hard work. They don't provide for me, so they don't have the right to dictate who I choose to love”

I am a skilled one, a top agent of Incognito, a special Sicarius alright, but I admit, I am not a total linguist. I can speak some languages, but not all.

I wonder how they knew my name.
